I liked a bunch of characters from MK4, for some reason. I used to play the arcade MK1 with friends and my favorite character there was definitely Raiden. But in MK4 I would have to go with Quan Chi and Fujin (hard as hell to play with, but a lot of fun after a while). MK Trilogy (I think, can't really remember) had Kabal which I really liked.

I've always liked Scorpion, all the way back to the original Nintendo/arcade MK. His spear throw and teleport punch are awesome and, when used effectively, devestating.

While he's not from the MK universe specifically, I most enjoyed using Captain Marvel from DC vs MK. That was easily the best game to come out of that MK franchise.

Mortal Kombat 3 - Sheeva. She has this nice 7 hit combo that chops away half of their health. If only i could get it to happen....

UMK3 - Sektor. I just think he is bad ass, with the chest missile tracker thing.
