My girlfriends little borther just saw The Empire strikes back for the first time the other day and the ending blew his little mind. It got me thinking about my favorite movie moments and while Empire is up there this has to be mine.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

What about you.

Disclaimer- This thread will obviously have spoilers so please use spoiler tags and give the name of the movie before you give any spoilers.

Equilibrium is one of my all time favourite films.

I love the final fight scenes.

A bit of a weird one I know, but I really like the 'briefcase scene' in Collateral where Tom Cruise drops those 2 thugs in about 1 second flat, then finishes one off. First time I saw the film I never saw that coming, it happened so fast and it's stuck with me ever since.

"Yo Homie!"

Also the minute or so of build up to the charge of the Rohan cavalry in RotK, with Theoden riding down the ranks tapping their spears with his sword and giving a Rousing Speech [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RousingSpeech]. Shivers down the spine stuff, that.

Pretty much the whole of Skyfall's length was a cinematic orgasm, but the sequence at the manor was one of the greatest things I've ever seen on film.

Also, in 127 Hours, the arm amputation scene is probably the only thing that's ever actually made me physically recoil from a movie. This sounds dumb, but it's so real - of course there would be bone, of course he would have to cut through nerves and arteries.

Oldboy is a favourite film of mine and I think the fight scene is sterling. I think what I like most is the nearly static camera. No extreme close ups or shaking or jerky movements so you can't see what's going on, just simple following of the action with a great soundtrack to follow.

Hmm, quite a few. The most obvious one would be from Lord of the Rings (from about 2:30 in for the best part):

I'd have to think about other ones. Specific scenes aren't always easy to find on YouTube.

Funny how everybody's favorite movie scene is always a fight scene?
(me, I love Jack and Grady's creepy toilet scene in The Shining)

My favourite scene from a movie? Difficult, especially since some of them I can't seem to find on youtube to show here. Here is one of my favourite scenes from my all time favourite film Let The Right One In however.

100 Mile Dash from The Incredibles.

The moment I saw this scene, the movie went from great to spanktastically amazing.

Also Mei's first encounter with Totoro from My Neighbor Totoro. There are no clips of it on Youtube, probaly because otherwise the site would explode because of sheer adorableness

Sam's speech at the end of the Two Towers, juxtaposed with the Ents sacking Isenguard and the victory at Helm's Deep. Sublime. Gives me chills every time.

*ahem*

DOES HE LOOK LIKE A *****!?

I honestly think that whole scene from Pulp Fiction is just superb, I can't think of anything that can top that first 15 minutes

Well there's for movies
Cage: I'll try my best
Connory: Losers whine about doing their best, winners go home and fuck the prom queen!

I'm also going to say the ending to Xenoblade Chronicles, wasn't a movie but was very... interesting...

I'd post it, but it involves Nicolas Cage being Nicolas Cage, and that's liable to get me set on fire.

Well, the obvious one:

The idea to put in a temptation/threat/taunt from Sauron was genius. It helps to solidify the decision for everyone to go on this crazy suicide run.

Then, one of my fav parts of the Star Wars Trilogy:

Specifically the part where Luke tries so hard to not think about Leia, but can't help it. Then he becomes enraged when Vader threatens to go after her.
