One of my favorite movie moments of all time is the scene in American History X where Danny remembers the way his father spoke to Derrik. It comes with one of the saddest quotes "It's hard to look back, and remember the truth about people."

I like the part in The Dark Knight where The Joker makes the pencil "disappear." I just have a very morbid sense of humour since I still find that hilarious.

Otherwise I don't particularly care for films, I feel like they're generally less interesting than most games or anime. Obviously with a few exceptions like the Batman films or... Or. Hmm. Highlander? I honestly don't remember much about a lot of the films I have watched. Kinda speaks for itself since I could go on about a fair few anime series and games, even ones I have only ever seen once.

I honestly think that whole scene from Pulp Fiction is just superb, I can't think of anything that can top that first 15 minutes
This is a bit of topic but it is my thread so screw it! Anyway, I am one of the few people who has not seen Pulp Fiction, is it worth seeing?

I kind of want to just by reading that quote. Am I right in assuming it is a Samual.L.Jackson quote?

My favorites:

The end scene- first, the lead character manages to snipe Morgan Freeman's character from about a mile away, then the bullet flies backwards into the gun. Badass.

The Dean of the other school goes to his car... only for it to suddenly blow up. Cut to Justin Long's character with another student, who "Wanted to learn how to blow shit up with his mind.

The lead characters driving their car through the Nazi parade. For obvious reasons.

I loved the interrogation scene in The Dark Knight. Scratch that; any scene where the Joker talks for a while is just amazing.

I also really, really loved Skyfall's opening, something that made me have a happy nostalgia moment. Such an awesome movie.

I love the final fight scenes.
The film's awesome (totally underrated on release, don't get the bad rep), and worth it purely for the Preston vs. DuPont fight... which is a brilliantly unique take on 'gun-fu'... =_=

OT: IMO, one of the best animated dogfights ever (the first one, anyway...)

That... and a lot of fight scenes that I can't be arsed to dig around for... ¬_¬

I'm probably the only one who will answer this way, but I didn't like Pulp Fiction. It's one of those movies that thinks way to highly of itself. However, I do think that since it's such a popular movie you should check it out. Even if I don't think I'll like a movie, I'm often still willing to see it just to see what all the fuss was about.

Pretty much the whole of Skyfall's length was a cinematic orgasm, but the sequence at the manor was one of the greatest things I've ever seen on film.

Also, in 127 Hours, the arm amputation scene is probably the only thing that's ever actually made me physically recoil from a movie. This sounds dumb, but it's so real - of course there would be bone, of course he would have to cut through nerves and arteries.

Made it 2 minutes in, and no further.

OT:

The scene where Seth realizes that a woman he just danced with had her period on his leg. The look on his face when he pieces it together is priceless!

Dude, man. Immediately drop whatever it is you're doing and rent a copy of it...

But seriously, I highly recommend seeing it as soon as you get the chance ^_^ It's an outstanding film and definitely worth watching

If however, you're in the circle of people who don't enjoy the style of Tarantino's work, I'd still say it's worth a watch. It's a part of film culture and it shouldn't go un-missed, even if you don't like Tarantino ^_^

My favorite moment of a movie is the scene in the bar in Inglorious Bastards

For me it's one of the absolute best scenes ever made, the beautifully slow and building tention masterfully ended in a quick climax.

Just wonderfull

Well in the spirit of Christmas, the scene in Die Hard where Bruce sends someone down in an elevator tied to a chair with the words "Now I have a machine gun ho ho ho" written on the victim's shirt. The look on the face the terrorists had was priceless.

This was the turning point in the film where John Mclane was really starting to fuck with them.

Tears.
Every. Single. Time.
Some might say the opening is the saddest part, but this gets me over and over again.

OT: My favorite movie scene...hmm...OH! Recently I've been watching Constantine again (Say what you will, I actually like Keanu Reeves, especially when I started researching him a little) and I love this scene:

The Antagonistic character is done so well, and I just like how they've filmed the whole thing.

My favourite scene has to be in Evil Dead 3 Army of Darkness. When Ash has to utter the, um, magic words in order to pick up the necronomicon.

"Klaatuu, baradaa, ni... nickel, nectarine...definitely an n word"

This.
There is no other moment from any other movie that sticks out in my mind more than this.
