Irish Rebel Music
Seriously?

Nice

What's your favourite band?

OP: Ummm

I love rock 'n' roll (the 50's - 60's type), like the OP, Irish rebel music.

I like a bit of pretty much everything though.
I've a few favorites, as with Irish music in general, the same song sung by different artists tends to make some good with some and not so great with others.

Although I have a few, for the sake of Ronnie Drew, may he rest in peace, Dubliners will always be on top. That being said Saoirse is fairly decent along with Eire Og, Wolfe Tones and Justice. But there's also a lot of very decent bands out there in pubs that don't really have a name so.. it's just difficult to name a favorite.
My favourite is eiher the Wolfe tones or the dubliners.

Got a playlist on spotify with quite a few of each bands songs in it.
Decent the both of them so they are. I've a bit of their music on the pc myself.
Just looked at the playlist, all but one of the songs are by either the Wolfe tones or the Dubliners XD
Haha! Not surprising, they've done a magnitude of songs throughout their careers.
Very true, they've both been about for 40 odd years.

The other song was Young Ned on the hill by the Pogues if you were wondering.

Pogues are fairly good, I've a album on the pc as well xD. Also, Tossers, Flogging Molly and just a little bit of Dropkick Murphys [just dont care for them all that much tbh]. Cranberries are alright, granted I'm like everyone else and just like their one major hit.

Out of curiosity, ever hear of Brier?

I realise this is usually such a cop-out answer, but I genuinely do like a lot of everything.

Classical, Oi, Swing, Metal, Punk, Blues (of which there are MANY exceedingly good variations variations), Pop, Rap, Indie, Electro, Rock, Jazz, you name it, I probably have an example on here :)

'goes on spotify'

That's who that is!

My brother has a few CD's of Irish stuff and I recognised the singer but never found out who it was.

I take it you're referring to Zombie?

I listen to just about all genres(some more than others). My favorite though has to be Heavy Metal, I just love the energy and the subject matter.
