And yes he got that avatar from Kelly's Heroes...

I always try to just name one for these kinds of threads. Picking it is hard though.
Sting, Sinaed O Connor or King Crimson probably.

I'll pick Sting as he was the first in my head.

Mind you, not the Police, just Sting.
Wow, I never thought that I'd see someone say King Crimson. Good show!

My question is how many people in this thread actually care or read all these replies instead of just skipping to the bottom and posting their favorite band.

On topic World/Inferno Friendship Society is my favorite
Yeah, I read every one. And I cringed at 90% of them.
Yes so did I....well i havent even heard of 90% of them which is why i have:

1. Electric Light ORchestra
2. ABBA
3. David Bowie
4. The Doors
5. Beethoven
What is your favorite Beethoven composition? Nice avatar, btw. Did you get that from Kelly's Heros?
Possibly the most famous one...9th Sympany which is in A Clockwork Orange which is an amazing movie.
My favorite is Opus 131 in C# Minor.

The first five that come to mind:

1. Toumani Diabate
2. Frank Zappa
3. King Crimson
4. Powderfinger
5. Ben Folds

I don't really have favourites, so much as a core of my collection that I return to a lot. On any day, any of those artists could be replaced by a stronger desire to hear some other music instead. King Crimson could just as well been AC/DC on that list. Or Sufjan Stevens.
