Just played it for the first time this month... super game, even if the controls and camera were a bit loose by today's standards.

Dunno why people hate the Water Temple so much, I thought it was the most fun of all the dungeons.

Same here. There was a good bit of going in circles to adjust the water level, but it wasn't the mind breaker it was hyped up to be.

And yes, Ocarina of Time is a great game. Established many traits of 3D action-adventure gaming and had a great setting, story (fairly formulaic, but THE formula), and excellent music (Shiek's theme is beautiful, end of story).
