Can we stick to 8-bit stuff in general? Because this ain't on the NES, but nothing has as much nostalgia value for me as this:

Impressive piece of music for the NES. Hats off to the guy who made it. Now, if only the game itself was this great.

I'm kinda surprised this classic hasn't been mentioned yet, unless I somehow missed it. It's also one of the few NES themes that uses a mixed meter.

yeah I was surprised you were the first person to mention that as well. next to Mega Man 2 Dr.Wily stage 1, Duck tales moon is probably the most famous NES music. I did try and choose two less well known tracks for my first two.

Speaking of which I honestly had no idea about the silver surfer track. that was pretty sweet. Reminds me of this less known gem,
