Incoming Nooblord alert, the sound of change jingling when you get a last hit in LoL. Yes i'm still on that level where farming requires 100% of my concentration and oops I just missed a teamfight DX

Also the sound of anything Ezreal does ever. From the *pew* of Mystic Shot to the *whizz* of Arcane Shift and of course the manly warcry that accompanies Trueshot Barrage. This includes his quotes.

"Who needs a map?!"

"Sounds dangerous... I'm in!"

Also the old sound of Katarina's Death Lotus pre-rework. It was just the sound of death and destruction everywhere. Though I do like how she says something badass after she ults someone now.
I really like the sound of Kat's new W skill ( I think its called Sinister Steel). My new fav LoL sound is Gangplank's parrlay with the new Special Forces Skin. Its a really meaty shot but its semi suppressed.

The great plastic "clash" from the "on/off" switch on my Super Nintendo when I switch the old girl on.

PAL - version
But I'm sure the american version has the same nice ring to it, can anyone confirm?
Hard to tell with such a radically different bodywork

After hearing Shamus mention the Fallout level up ding I made it the new device detected sound on my laptop, it's literally perfect.

I have extremely fond memories of all the RuneScape level up sounds, though that's probably more so due to the crazy amount of time it takes to level up in that game than the music quality.

It USED to be the sound of a crate smashing, but these day you just open them.

Least favorite sound = Footsteps.

The last twenty seconds of the Myst IV theme.

Just... Shivers coursing up and down my spine. Jack Wall is crazy-good.

If we're talking actual sounds, instead of music, well, there's always the Uboa jump-scare...

The noise the BFG 9000 in classic Doom makes, the startup sound of a Gameboy Colour and the noise of the Gluon Gun in HL1.

Oh, OH! You've all failed to mention that auditory nirvana...what is undoubtedly the finest sound effect in all of gaming history.

Super Mario Sunshine. Mario's shoes on cobblestone.

Thanks for the nostalgia trip, everyone!

I'd have to say most all of the sound effects and MIDI scores from Final Fantasy VII are magical! Everything from the slashes Cloud's sword makes to the menu navigation and the music playing in Cosmo Canyon.

As of recently, I was playing Silent Hill: Downpour and realized it's missing a lot of the old haunting sound effects from the series. Even the sound effects from save symbols in Silent Hill 2 made me quiver!

Thinking about it GP's new skin is super awesome. I still hate GP with a passion since Parley is possibly the most bullshit spell in the game. Maybe Fizz's Playful Trickster is slightly more rageworthy but still! Build him crit and lol you just instakilled the AD Carry.

Everyone still says that GP is unviable in the end and in chat my team will be like "lol they picked GP what a fail Champion" i'll nod along but if i'm top i'll be secretly dreading the fucking Parleys.

Now, if you'll excuse me I have to go and play some Ezreal to clear my head. That fucking amazing turnaround double base race last night in the World Finals is still taking up far too much brain space.

Think it was SK gaming vs CLG final match. SO HYPE!

It makes it sound like an accomplishment to open a chest.
It just has to be this. Even when I know what's in the chest, I feel a mounting excitement just for receiving the item thanks to that music.

I also die a little inside when I hear that music and get something like a compass or a map after hyping myself up about it for the last few seconds.

I loved the sound that collecting bolts makes in Ratchet and Clank. It always reminds me that I'm a little bit closer to the next awesome weapon. Music to my ears :)

The song 'I'm Movin' Out' on the Fallout: New Vegas soundtrack, every time it plays in-game I stop what I'm doing and turn up the volume.

Most of the sounds on World of Warcraft are nostalgic for me, especially the music that plays when the Alliance when a battlegrounds.

The Talon Trot noise on Banjo Kazooie, too.

There's so many noises that I could list...
