Probably a katana? Perhaps a small dagger or sword would suffice too.
You mean one of these?

I'd also bring my Ka-Bar knife into the fight. That boy is sharp.

Subtle Knife. Teleportation? Yes please.

Followed by Sword of Truth. Apparently just being the 'owner' of it grants amazing luck in everything you do.

My favorite weapon is straight-edged nodachi with a blade-length of over 90 cm. (3 ft) long. As a comparison, the average blade-length of the regular katana is about 70 cm (2 feet, 3 inches) long.

@dbmountain for me katana is more then just a sword(or a weapon if you will). as well as the way it is made it will not brake as easily as most of the western swords. oh also the desines are beautiful they way the blade curves etc >.<

That looks suitable, yes. You actually have one of those? o_o
I have two katanas, a wakizashi, a tanto, and a Ka-Bar USMC fighting knife back home in Houston. The knife was left by my dad, the rest I bought online. Money well spent, I say. :D

Dang. o.o

The most I have as far as a non gun weapon is a heavy metallic bat. :x
granted, the swords are dulled down. For safety reasons, I'm guessing. I also have a rifle, but only because my dad couldn't sell it. So he did the next "best" thing..he left it when my parents got divorced.

... a full staff, made of some sort of light metal or possibly a compund material involving an aluminum shell, a carbon reinforcing grid, and aluminum, something else light, or hollow core. It would be non-tapered, where the last 10" of each end is unscrewable (that can't be correctly spelled) using a system that is hard to describe (so I won't, but it makes sense) that allows the ends to unscrew without the caps twisting, revealing hidden blades at both ends. The blades are rectangular in shape, i.e., also not tapered. The staff is black, decorated with an intricate light green modern angular design.
In each sleeve would be one concealed knife, such that I'd be able to, at any given moment let go of the staff with either hand and swipe with one of the two knives before resheathing it or throwing it or something. The knives would have a matching design.

I've thought about this a lot.
