favorite non mission (Free mode ) thing to do in GTAIV

i'm gonna have to go with running over large groups of people. theres something morbidly satisfying about it especially after a bad day.

It's not as much fun as running over the marching Hare Krishnas in the original GTA. You got a points bonus if you took out all six (or was it eight?) in one pass.

That reminds me of something I loved to do in San Andreas. Getting on a PizzaBoy motorbike and driving off the top of the highest building in Los Santos, while whooping a la Dr. Strangelove style. Extra awesome points if I was actually wearing a cowboy hat at the time. Picture enclosed.

I know that some of you must have done this at one time or another. Jumping on top of a fire engine and firing into the air a few times and trying to stay on for as long as possible. In GTA:SA I used this method as a way to safely take out gang members in a gang war - send the fire engine down the Ballas-filled street and jump off. You're at a safe distance to pick off the remainders. As promised, here is a diagram of CJ riding the wave.
