Phantasy Star II and IV on the Genesis/Mega Drive. Especially II. That still holds up as my favorite game of all time. Not the best game, I know, but it's my favorite.

It's the only JRPG I have ever played and i really like all the games.

Yea pretty much this, except i have played FF and Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts was good and I disliked FF (yes I know its done by the same people).

Persona 3, which is also my overall favorite JRPG. Honestly, it's leaps and bounds above anything Square has put out.

Hmm, I guess I'd have to say Super Mario RPG since I'm pretty sure it's the only one I've played. Found it pretty dull personally since I could not have any impact on how the characters develpoed in terms of combat. That might be why I haven't played one since. The way most JRPG characters dress didn't help either
