My favourite obscure movie at this moment has to be Exam. It's a psychological movie from england about people in for a competitive job interview given only one question to answer. It's really hard to explain without giving too much away, so I leave you with the trailer:

I do love Kevin Bacon. I'm always ready for a little Six Degrees :).

On topic, probably Vantage Point, although that one isn't so much obscure as forgotten about.

I have a ton to list, all which I really like or love. Get ready for big block of text:

Runaway Beer: A finnish short film that has won several awards. It was quite funny, and a great sort of feel-good flick. And hey, it even has Alan Wake in it!
I think the movie was only available online, but unfortunately the website has been taken down and I don't know any other place to watch the movie.
Runaway Beer can be found on Youtube:

This is the one you must refer to? Ilkka Villi is the actor who portrays Alan Wake :)

Obscure is a relative qualifier. Most of the movies I watch aren't hollywood so they're not exactly mainstream.

Cemetery Man
Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer
Visitor Q
Tenebre

Damn you! Literally the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this thread was "Please let nobody have said Tremors already!"

But if I had to have a second choice it would be Labyrinth. Not even Kevin Bacon beats out David Bowie as the over the top Goblin King that sings a song with muppets.

OBSCURITY =/= CULT CLASSIC, GUYS. THERE'S A DIFFERENCE.
Half the movies listed in this thread are considered cult classics.

OT: Ink.
BEST. MOVIE. EVER.

The movie "Rocket Science" about a high school kid with a stutter who joins the debate team. Like the Kings Speech but not British and not terrible

Either Vjera Chytilova's "Daisies" or Dushan Makavejev's "WR: Mysteries of the Organism", probably.

I guess Repo! The Genetic Opera is a bit obscure. Its a sci-fi rock opera about a surgery company taking over the world...its awesome!

Pink Floyd's The Wall

Everyone knows the album, or at least Another Brick in the Wall Part 2. However, not a lot of people know that they made a movie out of it, and that it's incredible.

It's very surreal, and with its use of images and music to tell the story rather than dialogue, it isn't for everyone, but I love it wholeheartedly.
Aye, it's an amazing movie, although some parts are slightly fucked up. I'll second this notion, though.
I was stuffing zucchini flowers at work today and got "the wall" flashbacks

Wristcutters: A Love Story. It featured Tom Waits and had a soundtrack by Gogol Bordello, so all the hipster cred is there.
And MicMacs. That's also a good film.

Brotherhood of the Wolf, basically a french reimagining (quite literally this time) of the Wolfman. Features a surprising amount of kick-ass martial arts scenes.

Way too few movies here are actually obscure. That it's not an Oscar-winning classic that []everyone[/i] knows about doesn't mean it's obscure, people!

My choice? Dark Star. Think 2001 with weird humor.

"Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter"
Yes, it does exist.

The trailer...

The intro-- Just nonsensical ramblings and a crazy guy
(It gets awesome at 0:40)

The greatest fight scene of all time.

For a pacifist, Jesus sure seems to do a lot of fighting...

Or does it count if they're already dead?

Gamers

A movie put out by a role playing group calling themselves 'The Dead Gentlemen'. A must for anyone who's played a pen and paper game.

Big Nothing

Starring Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer. I'd mention more, but its too crazy to summerize.

yeah it was okay, people just hate it cause it essentially stole an oscar, all the other movies were better
