It seems like very few people have seen Layer Cake. I'll give you a little run-down of it: it's awesome.

Tremors. Gotta love Kevin Bacon.
I LOVED The tremors movies, I have all 4 on DVD.

Also, I don't know about a favorite "obscure" movie, but Choke was pretty decent and I don't know anyone who has seen it.

I'm a big fan of a Polish war movie called Kanal, and if you can get your hands on a copy, I highly recommend it. It was shot in the ruins of Warsaw and is about the Warsaw resistance being surrounded by the Germans and the only way out of the city is through the sewers. It's like if Saving Private Ryan had Alien's claustrophobic horror going on. It's really, really intense, and everyone I've shown it to has loved it.

Crows Zero and Crows Zero 2.

Two of the greatest movies I've ever seen. They're Japanese movies loosely based on a manga about a school that kids go to only to fight each other and be the first person to rule the school. Alliances are forged, people betray others, and awesome fights ensue.

The second movie introduces a rival school and the violent and ugly history between.

Also, The Good, The Bad, The Weird. I think it's Korean. It's a funny/action packed, goofy movie with plenty of scenes that are so awesome they make you laugh.

GO WATCH THEM NOW!

This is one that most nerds have heard of, but few have actually watched. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking about the Star Wars Christmas Special. So, so bad... writhing in fandom pain... hayden christiansen... AAAGH! -wakes up in cold sweat- just a dream...
I don't think the star wars christmas special would be a favourite in anyone's book. :p

Pink Floyd's The Wall

Everyone knows the album, or at least Another Brick in the Wall Part 2. However, not a lot of people know that they made a movie out of it, and that it's incredible.

It's very surreal, and with its use of images and music to tell the story rather than dialogue, it isn't for everyone, but I love it wholeheartedly.
Aye, it's an amazing movie, although some parts are slightly fucked up. I'll second this notion, though.
Glad to know I'm not alone.

For everyone else, here is a small sample of the film.

Enjoy.
Nah, you're probably just from a completely different age group. Everyone I know KNOWS that movie. I think it might be a generation thing with most people who are in their teens to early adulthood around this timeframe.
