I love that games have introduced a lot of you younger people to older music. Music these days has absolutely no comparison to the good old tunes of the day.

That said, my absolute favourite musician is Django Reinhardt. Here's one Bioshock players will remember:

Ahhh......fond memories. Any other good songs of his you know?

"Je Ne Regrette Rien" by Edith Piaf. It's pure, epic bliss and excitement in two minutes.

If you do not like this song, you are not human.

Got to be Nessun Dorma! Although I do prefer Pav's version which came after 1960 so I don't know if that counts!

Does anyone know what the name of this song is? It's been bothering me since I saw this movie.

The song is called 'La donna è mobile' ("Women are fickle") and it's one of the arias from the opera Rigoletto, written by Giuseppe Verdi. Funnily enough, it's one of my favourite operas, second only to Il Barbiere di Siviglia - The Barber of Seville.

And dude, I just spent an hour listening to Django Reinhardt trying to find the best ones for you, but it's impossible! Visit http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=django+reinhardt and just listen to as much as you can and let me know what you think!

There are a lot of great oldies out there but they don't seem to get much recocnition so post your favorites if you please.
I'm excluding classical music (Sorry Beethoven) for the sake of the post, think about old jazz, swing, do-wop and so on. Post a link if you think it's really obscure.

My list would be:

Sinatra-Come Fly With Me, You Make Me Feel So Young, and his version of Somewhere Beyond the Sea.

Louis Armstrong-La vie en Rose, What a Wonderful Life, You won't be satisfied, Cuban Pete, Do you know what it means to Miss New Orleans?.

Nat King Cole-Unforgettable.
I a big fan of miles davis, "so what" is my fav miles davis piece

Strange Fruit by Billie Holiday. I also really like Every Day by Buddy Holly. Probably because my Dad used to play it all the time when I was little.

I have a new favorite artist! Django's right up there with Louis Armstrong, the Doors, and Hendrix in my book. I liked his rendition of "Brazil" which was one of my favorite songs anyway, you should hear the Geoff Muldaur's version of "Brazil" it's from a movie of the same name.

Awesome, man! I'm glad you like his music! What's even more amazing is that when he was 18, he was in a fire and suffered first and second degree burns all over his body, which paralysed some of the fingers on his left hand, which he used for chords and such, and yet he plays like that despite it!
