The Reason by Hoobastank.

It's a brilliant song, but I've heard nothing about them since.

Everyone has their favorite songs, the ones that make you crank up the car radio whenever you hear them play. In my experience, those songs are often one hit wonders, whose performers blew their wad on one transcendental experience which would never again be repeated. So, what are the songs that speak to your soul, the ones which, when you hear them, you just have to share with the world?

I would have argue against your one hit wonder theory as I would say the vast majority of well known music comes from the same 20 to 30 artist with the occasional song from somebody else

I don't listen to the radio that often...in fact a large amount of music that I listen to most other people have never heard of.....although I do listen to some of the main stream stuff, I do not get it from the radio as much as I get it form other people.

The radio pisses me off because every month, all month long, every day they play like the same 10 songs over and over....

THinking of one hit wonders. The first thing that comes to mind is 'Ready to go' from Republica. I still hear it on the radio occasionally and each time I wonder what happened to them. Its really not a bad song.

The song for me at the moment is The Last of the Melting Snow by The Leisure Society. Think I've notched up 70+ plays of it in two days on iTunes.

Final Countdown.
Just Awesome.
Eh? Europe were a massive band that have sold over 1,000,000 records. They are not a one hit wonder because you've only heard one of their tracks.

Look Survivors Eye of the Tiger is an example of a one hit wonder, Diamond lights by Glen Hoddle is a one hit wonder and the Macerana are all good examples of one hit wonders. Unforunatley yours is not!

There are to many good songs to count, I guess that I could name a few...

House of the Rising Sun.
The Piano Has Been Drinking.
Blackbird.

Also, did they have to be bad songs that everybody and their dog listens to?
