Dragon Age.. The best combination was Wynne, Shale, and Oghren. They all have hilarious conversations with each other.
Mass Effect: Wrex and Garrus!
Mass Effect 2: I switched it up from time to time.. Legion almost constantly, great character. Then I switched between Tali and Jack and Garrus.
in KOTOR it depended on my character. If I was darkside I used Canderous and HK47. If I was Lightside I used Zaalbar and Jolee/Bastila.

DA:O: Warden(a rogue or mage, i've yet to make a warrior.), Morrigan, Alistair, Leliana. It's not the most original, but it works and i never really got that far in the game, hoping to finish it soon.
Mass Effect: I used.. Garrus and Liara, if memory serves. Used Wrex until i got Liara, however.
Mass Effect 2: Garrus and Thane/Mordin.
KOTOR: I used Zaalbar and Bastila until I unlocked Jolee, from then on i had a full Jedi party.
KOTOR 2: I used Atton(both before and after Jedification) and T3-M4. Throughout the whole game. T3's a BADASS in KOTOR2.

1: Me, as a mage, blood mage/arcane warrior.
2: Sten, 2 hander berskerer specialism. I love Sten, because his sarcasm is delicious
3: Zevran, assassin/dualist specialism. Because any guy that can come on to me as I'm trying to kill him is grade A awesome.
4: Shale, because I need a tank who hates pigeons, really. That and she's generally funny.
In ME1, I take Wrex and Tali, because I'm quite fond of both of them, and their talents work well together.
In ME2 I take Garrus and Tali, because Garrus is totally awesome.
In KOTOR, HK-47 and Bastilla - because, well, HK-47 is hilarious, and I actually like Bastilla as a concept and character. She's in an impossible situation and does her best to work it.
In KOTOR 2, HK-47 and Kreia, because they're by far the best characters, Kreia being one of the best characters in RPGs full stop. I usually take Atton before I get HK, because he's one of the few 'Carths' (vanilla lightside man who accompanies you) who isn't made of suck. Alistair being the other exception.

1st Party in ME2 is a friggin' tank with my Sentinel. Fully upgraded defense abilities could be spammed like hell so they soak up so much dmg & aggro with Legion's drone without dying all the time like Miranda. And my bonus squad ammo + Legion's sniper + Grunt's shotgun = CARNAGE.
2nd & 3rd parties in ME2 kick ass with 3 snipers and high DPS abilities from Thane/Garrus(I always pick sniper training).
