Beautiful, just beautiful.
That is such a great song. I've had that album for a couple years now.

I wish she'd bring a bit more of that back into Metric. The new-age indie R&B styling of Grow up and blow away was so much more musically interesting than the rather abrasive indie rock they've done since, and EH&TSS recaptures much of that musical interest.

Talk Talk play a style that is like jazz, classical, krautrock and electronic, then slowed down to make some of the atmospheric music I know

The Magnetic Fields released probably my favourite album of all time, 69 Love Songs, which although I thought the premise sounded corney, out of the 69 songs, there is hardly any filler and even though they are love songs, there is hardly any cliche to them. Instead, the subject of relationships is looked at from every angle and using pretty much every genre of music
Although this isn't their best song (check out the awesome Sugarcube, which has a video that is basically what School of Rock was trying to be), but this is the sound of late nights:

It seems to me that none of you has no inkling what comes to the etymology of "slow".

This is just a clip however, the song itself lasts for 20 minutes. It is the slowest song I know and also, what you might call, favourite.

Good Choice.

My choice would have to be the musician they inspired: Tom Waits. You should probably check out some of his stuff like Franks Wild Years and Rain Dogs.
Or how about Hearattack and Vine
Oooh yea...excellent choice. Love Tom Waits (groovin to it at work right now.)
