Oh dear, Miley Cyrus - When I look at you, it started as a joke on LAN parties, now I actually like it...
It is, which is rather odd. Swedish usually works best for furious music, but in this case, they've found a real sweetspot. And thank you for linking it, now I don't have to. :3MartianWarMachine said:I'm guessing "Japan"

Whatever it's called, it's certainly not a genre I listen to, regurally. I believe it's some sort of 4kids-production. But Caramelldansen is a wonderful exception. I can listen to it all day! Hell, I'd suggest either this or the Battlefield-themesong for the new national anthem.
Oh, I see...bahumat42 said:It is swedish but it was popularized by a japanese dance game, because low and behold, it sounded quite similar to their style of music. At any rate its closer to j-pop than what we in the west call dance.MartianWarMachine said:I'm guessing "Japan"bahumat42 said:caramelldansen could be considered dance if your using a vague definition, but its true genre is j-pop (guess what the J means). This type of music is common out there, give it a search.MartianWarMachine said:I don't like dance music, because of the chipmunk voices, and the thump-thump-y bass, but I like Caramelldansen, which counts as dance music, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong, please =3
Oh, and I liked this video the best ^_^
(i only differentiate because i do like "true" dance music, and the related fields of techno, electro and house music, so i have a small bit of knowledge on the topic.
Hope this helps.
