I've just recently started looking into all the different mods you can get for the Source Engine. So far I've gotten Zombie Panic, Hidden, Age of Chivalry, and Zombie Master. Any other good ones that I could try out?

I'm playing through it right now, it's a mod called Get a Life, it's kind of a survival-horror shooter. It's a lot like FEAR.

It's REALLY well-made.

You might want to watch Jailbreak: Source; They are currently porting from Ep1 to Orangebox, therefore finding a server with users is a bit difficult;

Situation: Outbreak might be interesting for you too oh and Modular Combat;

Single-Player wise the list is rather long; I suggest browsing through moddb and PlanetPhillip (http://www.planetphillip.com/). The stuff on PlanetPhillip should keep you occupied for a long time.

Smod! [http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SMOD]

Basically a mod for half life that adds things like bullet time, a hello kitty wand, exploding bananas, a super-powered shovel, incendiary grenades, scissors, a sniper rifle...

One of the only things that's fun to play with cheats. Get all weapons right from the start, cause havoc at the train station!

here's [http://halflife2.filefront.com/file/HalfLife_2_SMOD%3B73718] a download link. Go get it. now.

Single Player:
MINIVERA- One of the best SP mods available. Map design is on par with that of VALVe itself.(Ep1)
Research & Development- The most amazing puzzle mods I have played. Puts VALVe's puzzles to shame. (Ep2)
Nightmare House: Remake- A horror themed mod, is amazing. (HL2 and CSS)

Multi Player
Eternal Silence- you fly spaceships and assault capital ships Battlefront 2 style!

I second Research and Development and Minerva.

Zombie Panic! Source can be a lot of fun, too, if you prefer multiplayer mods.

I agree with the aforementioned Nightmare House Remake and Insurgency. Also Dystopia is a great multiplayer game, though i found it had a bit of a steep learning curve. Dear Esther and Radiator are both very unique mods that i recommend.

Neotokyo, while the damage system is a little odd it's still piles of fun.

The paintball mod in CoD4, that was pretty entertaining.

But definitely Garry's Mod and smod. Those 2 were great.

Garry's Mod for the most part, you can do so much in that game. But anyways, aside from Garry's mod, I also do enjoy the Empires Mod (community is stagnating unfortunately) and sometimes Insurgency.
