Lee Evans, the man is a hilarious tornado of observation and slapstick that always gets me on the floor in tears.

Bill Bailey is a close second to me for his brilliant surrealism.

Bill Bailey.
he has brought us "Satan's furry jam hats" "Hey ASDA i aint gonna be your *****!" "human slaves in an insect nation" "i thought i was half troll" "i don't trust joggers, they're always the ones who find the bodies" "the musical scale of evil" and his crowning glory:
The Hokey-Kokey in the style of the german band Kraftwerk.
quick P.S. worst comedian ever is Ricky gervaise. the guy isn't funny, most of the time his jokes end with him sitting there with a stupid look on his face waiting for someone to laugh because it's so awkward.
The worst thing about him is that his material is actually good!
He completely mucks up some genuinely good jokes so that if someone who can actually make it funny tries to tell it, it would get called plagurism.

Actually Dane Cook has some funny stuff. Maybe not your cup of tea, but I personally thinks he's great. And since this is an opinion thread, odds are you'll only make people angry by dissing others' choices. So I wouldn't recommend it, really.

Aside from Dane Cook, Brian Regan is good, Chris Rock, Gary Gulman ("Really, sugar cookie?"), John Heffron, and I think there was one more LCS contestant on there. Probably Dat Phan, his joke about failing math is hilarious. And yes, I realize taking most of my favorites from LCS makes me seem less...experienced...But hey, they're who I like, deal with it.

EDIT: The Passing Zone. They get me laughing. Really they have my kind of humor, humor I'd actually use in real life.

Can I just ask something here? WHY DO PEOPLE HATE DANE COOK??? What did he ever do to deserve this kind of treatment, Huh? I've listened to this guy's material, I've seen it on Shorties watching shorties and in any situation he's hilarious. Ok he should stay away from the movie scene, stick to what you're good at you know, and what is Dane Cook good at Stand-up. And if you don't like it then fine. Buddy.

but back to the matter Jeff Dunham, Chris Rock, Ralphie May, Carlos Mencia, Dave Chappele, Larry the Cable guy, Christopher Titus and sometimes Dimitri Martin are may favorite comedians.

Ill agree if you are saying Ricky Gervais is not a good stand up comedian, but to say he plain isn't funny is bull-crap. Stand up wise yeah it all feels too scripted but his delivery is good other than that. Outside of stand up the man is brilliant, The Office, Extras, and all the old XFM radio shows all great.

George Carlin. Followed by Mitch Hedburg (RIP both of them)
then followed by Demitri martin, and then Richard Pryor.
And of course Dane Cook. JUST KIDDING. He sucks more than the women in the local alleyway.
