what's your favorite show you try to show to your friends that they end up not getting? mine is arrested development, i tried to show this to about ten different people and none of them notice all the intelligent humor and satire that goes into it. they just think it's funny when the one guy gets painted blue and then gets hit by a car. notice this doesn't mean they don't like it, it just means they don't get as much out of it as you do.

I watch a lot of shows but my favourites tend to be slow burners, typically HBO ones (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Game Of Thrones). My friends don't have the patience for those types of shows and just want 'Shooty action boobies fun time now'.
EDIT: On the plus side I got my dad watching GoT so I guess that's something.

Adventure Time oddly enough. I showed it to someone who still watches Tom and Jerry and he said the show was to insane for him. Image that.
Lost, the show really gets hate from people who never watched or gave it time. I love the show, and think everyone should give it a shot.
My favorite show is "The Adventures of Prospector Pete". He lives in a mountain with a Dolphin. Well you know how smart dolphins are. This one's always inventin', can't quite help himself and pete comes along to look after em'. But if ever there's trouble I reckon' ol' pete and his best mule 'Bess (whom he also named his daughter after) will handle it with their usual wink and common good sense. And if that don't tucker out your tickers well every now and then ol' pete will just have to drink some of his patented moonshine and fly into a DRUNKEN RAGE. He's been known to try ta' mine anything when he gets his whistle wet enough, and with his lucky pick, Lucky he can, so watch out. Sometimes he even mines his way out of the TV screen and takes over my ARMS! NOBODY GETS THIS SHOW. BECAUSE IT LIVES IN MY HEAD!

If you care for that sort of thing then I guess, but it's still a good show. Besides, it's on the SyFy channel, so I'm not expecting top notch CGI or the like.darkless said:

God, Psych is so hilarious, I don't know how my friends don't find it funny.
