So, what is your favorite TV show? Due to the high volume of people that I am sure will respond My Little Pony, I ask that if your favorite is MLP tell us your second favorite.

For me, it's probably Dexter. It's a character driven show, which a golden premise. The show knows how to take risks without completely alienating audiences. And I can't stress how great it is to watch Dexter's progression from being a automaton basically to actually having feelings, while still continuing his dirty work.

The United States of Tara is probably my favorite at the moment, with my second being Two and a Half Men.

Unless watching baseball on TV counts. ;)

I love Malcolm in the Middle. It's a great no-audience live sitcom that has me laughing every episode. It's one of the best shows of the decade. Too bad its over now... ;_;

Well, I would have said a certain show, but because it isn't allowed, I would say that Mythbusters is my favorite show.

As of late my new favorite show is Archer, God damn that show makes me laugh. Easily one(if not the) best new cartoon animations to come out in recent years. And finally a funny mature cartoon thats not "Family guy" or "Simpsons".

State of Play from the UK; maybe from America Arrested Development, with so much c-r-a-p coming from America it is delightful but they only showed it at like midnight on BBC2 here in the UK- and if I may whore myself briefly to popular conventions The Wire is pretty freaking cool

Probably my favorite is Mythbusters and usually anything on National Geographic.

As for big Prime Time shows I fell in love with Spartacus. 300, The Gladiator and porn = success!

Daily Show and Colbert Report of coarse. The only non-biased news shows on TV :D

edit:

Shut-up, this is where I get news therefore they are news shows :p

The simpsons without a doubt, I even find some of the new episodes hilarious despite the fact I often lable them as crap.

Also It's only so long before the bronys' appear...

Mine would be Mythbusters. Oh how I love them and their scientific antics.

"Quack, damn it."

Being from the UK, I enjoy some old material (I haven't watched TV in years) Red Dwarf, The Young Ones, Bottom and only recently The Inbetweeners (not so old that one)

Sopranos: I wrote an UG dissertation on it, I own and have read eight books on the subject. Probably spent 500+ hours watching it.

I won't go in to every aspect of why I like it so much as it would take to long. My dissertation used a Freudian framework to explore nostalgia and masculine anxiety within the first season. I could and would happily have written three times as much with ease and may well do so one day.

EDIT: Also plan to negotiate whether I can do my film masters thesis on The Sopranos, after all "its not TV its HBO".
