Seeing as it's today, I'm going with Doctor Who. A couple of months ago I most probably would have mentioned Top Gear or Being Human (UK that is, I'm personally wary of remakes in the US).

I guess it's just because I watch a lot of shows that have shorter seasons and thus don't run concurrently. That said it's easier to pick a show simply because one's on and the others are in production for the next season. Also they seem to be able to cram more into less episodes (See: Torchwood: Children of Earth. No, seriously, WATCH that.)

Oh, another reason for this is because I'm not allowed to say [ZE PONIES ARE VEBOTEN!].

Adventure Time With Finn And Jake. Greatest thing ever to happen to the universe. Feast your minds, brothers:

A Hermit's Cave
CSI (only the original, though, these days, and less so because Gil left *sigh*)

For the nerdy-nerdy, and I dislike it when they get it wrong (which is a lot, to be fair, but less so than the others, Miami just looks shiny, while New York is kinda hamfisted much of the time, so I stick with the good ol' Vegas version).

Second comes Scrubs, 'cos Dr Cox would be a great... uh, something.

With tonight's season finale and a truly flawless season of great comedy, Community is already among my all-time favorites. I had low expectations for the show at its start, but it morphed (about halfway through the first season) into a vehicle for some great concepts.

My favourite TV shows are 1)Law & Order: Criminal Intent
2) Twin Peaks

I love Law & Order: Criminal intent because of the main characters, Det. Robert Goren and Det. Alexandra Eames. Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Goren, has such a commanding screen presence and always leaves you questioning what he is going to do next, while Kathryn Erbe, who plays Eames, acts as a wonderful support for D'Onofrio, her character giving his ideas and giving you a feeling that they are really working as a tight knit team. I personally find the show gripping.

My second favourite is Twin peaks because it is a refreshingly different show and David Lynch is a genius for concieving of the idea. Kyle MacLachlan is great as special agent Dale Cooper and each character is rich and well characterized, each with their own quirks and problems and they all get equal attention, without detracting from the main story arc, the killing of Laura Palmer. The ending was a bit of a let down, but like what Lynch said, "It's not the ending I wanted, but it was the ending we were stuck with"

Dexter, House, Burn Notice, Colbert Report, and The Daily Show. I'd put 24 up there, but they canceled it, unfortunately.

I think it is a little obvious what my favorite show is.
It's pretty hard to beat something that has been around since 1963.

Doctor Who owns all.

Edit: I love many shows, many types, from new to way way back. The Stargate Franchise: SG-1 and Atlantis(The only two shows in that franchise). American Pickers, Castle, Futurama, Family Guy, Firefly, House, Monk, M*A*S*H, Miami Vice, Operation Repo, Pawn Stars, Scrubs, Star Trek(TNG, DS9, Voyager) The Big Bang Theory, The Waltons.

There are many more, but my mind is tired, I need to get some sleep

I just love Supernatural. Everything about that show just works. Then I'd have to say How I Met Your Mother and Family guy.

Did I miss something or has no one actually mentioned Firefly?

Anyway, I can't decide between Firefly, House, The Mentalist, The Office (both UK and US) and Chuck.

It had excellent writers, a superb cast, and a powerful message that still resonates today. I particularly like how in later seasons the characters acted like real people instead of two-dimensional caricatures.

My all time favourite is Have I Got News For You, Hislop and Merton in my opinion are both comic geniuses and really make the show enjoyable to watch every time. I also enjoy NCIS as the plots seem to be a little more realistic than CSI in my opinion.

Yep. This is about right. Toss in a dash of Mythbusters, Scrubs, My Family, and M*A*S*H and you've pretty much got my tastes summed up.
