Mafia - critically acclaimed (bar the most hilariously-wrong Eurogamer review I've ever seen*), but I don't think it ever sold amazingly like it should have.

*[small]Boy do I get mad when people try to compare it to GTA. [/small]

Why thank you, I guess it is hardcore. Though I've never created a new profile so as to begin at Level 1 again so perhaps that's something I should next attempt. Sure it would be nice to play multiplayer on DR2 with another fanatic like myself. Also, just out of interest, I guess you've tried Infinity Mode before? If so what time did you achieve?
Best I ever did in Infinity mode was to last just long enough to unlock the Laser Sword. As soon as I got the 5day achievement I turned off the machine.

That mode was a decent idea in theory, but in practice it just meant a whole lot of waiting around. And I can wait around in real life. I haven't played that mode again after getting the 5 day survivor achievement.

How about you?

Well originally I was planning on playing just long enough to unlock both the Five Day and Seven Day Survivor achievements, but somewhere down the line I thought I would see how long I could last. The answer? 24 hours 25 minutes and 30 seconds (in-game 12 days 5 hours and 6 minutes). Earned me rank 257 in the world but it was agonisingly dull.

Megaman Legends.
absolutly. awesome games but too many people never gave them a chance because of the words mega man in the title.

also, i dont think stalker can really be considered an under rated game. with close to 3 million copies sold and pretty good review scores i wouldnt consider it under rated.

for me though, id have to say clive barkers undying (awesome fps, great atmosphere and art direction and a great shooter to boot) and system shock (the original).

Shadow of the Colossus and Zone of Enders
Dear god I loved Zone of the enders, I cannot count how many hours i have spent playing that game over the years, unfortunately I lost my special edition version of the second runner, which was selling on Ebay for £40 at one time.

OT: Zone of the enders, some of the half life 2 mods out there, and of course Dead rising

The World Ends With You, the Phoenix Wright series and TimeSplitters. If Free Radical hadn't shot themselves in the foot by making Haze, and if it was more popular so that new owners Crytek had a large enough fanbase, we might have had TimeSplitters 4 sometime this year.
