I would try it, but I don't own an Xbox of my own (I tried L4D at a friend's house), and he's too tight with money to pay for Xbox Live...RogueRunner said:Yeah, definetly try Versus mode, that's the only mode I play! Tip: What's especcially fun is speed-running with 1 friend and not telling your other two teammates who than are like WTF?Jharry5 said:Am I right in saying there's four L4D maps?RogueRunner said:hmm makes sense, but (correct me if I'm wrong) isn't there the same amount of TF2 maps?Jharry5 said:It wasn't anything to do with the gameplay or anything like that. It was just how unsubstantial it felt. I'm not someone who can play the same four levels over and over; if Valve released a map-pack or something for it, my only nit-pick would be answered...RogueRunner said:can you expand on why u wer let down?Jharry5 said:Everyone of Valve's games I've played, I've loved (but I felt a little let down by Left 4 Dead).
It's close between Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. I think TF2 just edges it though...
If I remember rightly, there's six maps in TF2. Not that many more, now I think of it. Must be the online play that makes me like TF2 so much. (When I tried L4D, it was offline split-screen. Maybe that's why I didn't think it was as good as everyone was saying...)
I felt the same way. I think it's just the fact that everyone was saying that it was the best game ever and compared to the raving done about it, the game as a whole seemed very average.Jharry5 said:It wasn't anything to do with the gameplay or anything like that. Dude, don't make them fight, I can't afford insurance for this universe.Anarchemitis said:Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 come for a tie.
They will do battle when the remaining three classes are updated, and the final episode comes out.
I enjoyed Magnusson. Kleiner and him were excellent mutual foils, and he was a good balance to the cast.orannis62 said:I have to say Episode 2. It takes the great story of HL2, and somehow manages to better the gameplay even more. Not to mention that it added a great new character (not Magnusson, I mean the Vortigaunt) and had one of the best endings ever.
True, I suppose. He is a good balance to the "mutual admiration society." Although more introduction would have been nice, even as simple as mentioning in passing that Magnusson was at White Forest, before we actually see him. I mean, Gordon would know who he was, but not that he was there.Anarchemitis said:I enjoyed Magnusson.
