Okay everybody now this isn't your standard Greatest Game EVAR! thread. Often times people seem to overlook the creative companies that dish out interesting titles. This isn't a Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft thread, but the video game development company thread. Y'know, the little or big guys who provide for the gaming community.

So now what say we honor those companies today? This is your Favorite Video Game Company thread.

My favorite video game company?

The Blue Bomber, Street Fighter, Bionic Commando, Capcom vs (insert franchise here), Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, Final Fight, and Okami. These are just a few of the franchises that CAPCOM has released over the years that continue to remain some of the most beloved franchises in the gaming culture.

What more can you say? CAPCOM is great. Pure and Simple.

I enjoy Valves games, Left 4 dead introduced me to pc shooters, half life 2 is my favourite game of all time and I've found myself valiantly defnding their honour at some points in my life. Also, I, wanna work for them as a level designer.

My favourite has to be Bioware. For me, story defines a good game, and good games define a good developer.

Bioware

Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Dragon Age... all some of my favourite titles both current and overall.

Bioware, because they make immense, richly detailed games, with engaging storylines, and entertaining characters. They have an excellent track record as far as making games goes, and I cannot immediately think of a game that they have made that was not fun to play.

At the moment, BioWare. Hands Down. Pandemic (Star Wars Battlefront II - my first shooter) and Valve get honourable mentions too.

I'll give my standard answer and point out Type-Moon.
I'd be hesitant to call visual novels "video games". The only thing they have is choices and a story, after all.
Normally, I'd dispute this by pointing out that it's still an interactive medium where the player's direct actions have effects (both simple and complex) on the in-game world, regardless of how small the action may be...but then I realized that there's a much better response.
