I like a lot of the FF music that's been put out over the years, Probably FF7 being my pick of the bunch personally. However the soundtrack that I listen to the most would have to be the Heavy Rain OST, it's just pure awesome. I love it.

Gods (1991) - I used to start this game up on my Amiga 500 to simply hear the intro music. The tune is called 'Into the Wonderful', I think.

Bioshock - excellently captures the era and feel of the game.

LA Noire - as above.

Heavy Rain - seriously emotive soundtrack.

Chrono Trigger

I still listen to the songs and remixes from that game even though it came out in 1995.

Wow, I can't believe no-one's mentioned Akira Yamaoka's work as of late. The man is a genius of creating memorable melodies and ambience-builing sounds!

Are we forgetting this thing?

So man y to choose, but I have to go with: Terra, from Final Fantasy IX, Composed by Nobou Uematsu. The man understands music and the music brings so much fealings forth that it is allowed to get a little teary.
Thank you. One of the main reasons the FF series has gone to shit after FF X is because he left SE. He has also said in the past the he considers the music he did for FF 9 to be the best work he has ever done and I agree with him. Also want to mention The Dark Messenger which was the music for the last Kuja fight at the end of FF 9 and One winged angle from FF 7.

Akira Yamaoka's scores are friggin' genius. Didn't click with me for a while but when they did...oh man.

Including that, I'd have to say:

Final Fantasy VIII
Chrono Cross
Silent Hill 2
Shadow of the Colossus

For a licensed score, Vice City is awesome as well. Lots to choose from. Did you guys see they released Portal 2's OST for free?

Super Metroid. The soundtrack suits the game perfectly, and only adds to the atmosphere.

Sure did. The turret opera and the 'science is fun' instrumentals are epic to say the least.

If I had to add any others, I'd have to say the works of Harry Gregson Williams and Hans Zimmer. I mean, come on, they are professionals at composing music, how could I not put them on?

The soundtracks for Jet Force Gemini and Morrowind both make me incredibly happy. Awesome tunes for awesome games. Minus that bullshit Tribal collection quest in JFG and the crappy combat system in Morrowind.

Oh come on, XI had a fantastic score. I won't doubt Uematsu is a genius, VI, VIII and IX were incredible pieces of work, but to dismiss XI... Any part of that OST makes me dangerously nostalgic and look for my payment details...

Dunno...Zimmer was good in the 90's but all of his stuff sounds the same lately =/ How do you imbed videos by the way?

Score wise: I'd have to say L.A. Noire, Oblivion and Heavy Rain were all excellant and fitted the mood of each game.

Soundtrack wise: I still hold San Andreas to have the best music selection outside a Guitar Hero game - void due to being all about great music. Plus it introduced me to a load of great band, Living Colour, Depeche Mode, Stone Temple Pilots, and yes I did exclusively listen to Radio X.

I... actually have no idea : (. Putting the video's link in the post seems to work fine, so I've just never bothered learning.
I would imagine something along the lines of [Embed(Enter link here)] or something like that.

TESIV - Oblivion
Great orchestral soundtrack - Jeremy Soule is an awsome composer.

Now I really want the Skyrim Soundtrack.

The Orange Box soundtrack has probably been mentioned, but I don't know if this has been mentioned:

Ratchet and Clank
I'm just going to post one of my favourites:
