Either a keyblade (if you don't ned it, just make it vanish ... so much less weight to carry around)
OR
Caladbolg/Brotherhood (FFX), one is a water sword and one is big blue and quite spiky ... and did I mention it's a SWORD!!!

The Helghast's primary assault rifle from the first Killzone.

A standard scoped machine gun with a shotgun mounted on the bottom. Pure genius.

Combine assult rifle from Half-Life 2. You press a button and it reloads itself. Not to mention it shoots energy balls as well.
Not to mention the lovely *budda-budda* sound it makes...

Fat man from Fallout 3.

U.S military's gotta build something like that for their next fights.
They did.

The Fatman was based on the M-388 Davy Crockett Nuclear Recoilless Rifle.

Not quite as portable as the Fatman, but you get the idea

The Gunblade. A gun that is also a sword. I've wanted one since I was eight.
What does the gun part of the gun blade do?

Anyways, the blue gravity gun. What other weapon has so many awesome uses?
You point it at things, pull the trigger, and the things die.
Wrong.
In Final Fantasy 8, pulling the trigger sends a powerful vibration through the blade to increase cutting damage. FF8 gunblades do not fire projectiles.

However, there are real-life weapons called Sword-Guns that do fire projectiles, but generally look a fair bit different.

Back on topic;
My favourite in-game weapon would either have to be the Gravity Gun or the BGF-9000.
Possibly the AR2 from Half-Life 2, as well, although I'm disappointed you can't hold more ammo for it, considering it reloads itself.

Lincoln's Repeater from Fallout 3. I've heard of singing swords before, but a singing rifle is something new.

For me, it would be the Needler and whatever that laser sword is called (from Halo0, the Keyblade (from Kingdom Hearts) the gunblade (from Final Fantasy VIII), Cloud's Buster Sword (from Final Fantasy VII though I doubt I could even lift that thing), and the Gravity Gun (from Half-Life 2). Phew!

The power of love!

Read: The Peace Maker from Jak II. It shoots Great Balls of Lightning which arcs between enemies and is more or less a one-hit kill.
