I'd have to say the:

Butterflynet and oar from Soul Caliber 2 for GC.

and the legs and arms of enemys in Shadow of Rome for PS2 (probably the most useless game ever)

Bullspit. The Blacktail was a delight to handle, was way more accurate, looked better, sounded better, and it's special upgrade rocked ass.
...wait, what? It 'rocked ass'? Do you mean 'Sucked ass'? Cause I can see that.
Let's compare special upgrades of ALL Handguns you find the first run through.

Base handgun: Five times as likely as normal to insta-kill someone with a headshot.
Punisher: Go through FIVE opponents.
Red9: Adds 1.5 damage per shot(That is ONE. AND. A. HALF normal handgun shot of added damage, PER HANDGUN SHOT!)
Blacktail: ....adds 0.4 damage per shot, for a total damage when fully upgraded of... 0.1 lower than the second-to-fully upgraded Red9.

If you want to conserve ammo, there is NO weapon like the Red9. When fully upgraded, the damage is higher than that of the base shotgun.

Not only is the Red9 cheaper, more accurate (meaning the laser sight does not bob around as much) and more damaging, it is also more unique (all other handguns act and look pretty much identical, the Red9 being the only one sporting a stock and a unique reloading animation). The blacktail lets you move around in a circle faster, yes. But if you really need to aim around that fast, 99 times out of a hundred, you're better 180-turning and using the knife. And you shouldn't have gotten your sorry self surrounded.

I could go on, believe me, I could. But it's (very) off-topic to do so.

In short, for being cheaper than the blacktail, more accurate (handy bonus, that), more damaging per shot (that is the most important factor of a handgun by far, right here), AND stylistically much cooler since the blacktail is exactly like the other handguns in terms of looks and animations...
The Red9 is not only a plain better weapon, it's also a cooler one.
The punisher sucked. the only thing it was good for was the money it sold for. When do 5 enemies convieniently line up so you can shoot through them? the Red9 was pretty effective, I just didn't like using it. The Blacktail was very balanced to me, and fun to use. The matilda still took the cake for pistols though.

ANYWAYS:

I loved the plasma coil from Ratchet and Clank, the chainsaw bayonet from Gears of War, The Gravity Gun from Half-Life 2, and soon to be: the Glaive from Dark Sector.

The Serious Sam cannon.

Giant balls of death that cut through hordes of smaller enemies (and players), can bounce off walls and will explode upon contact with anything it doesn't gib/bounce off of?

Awesome.

I'm tempted to add "Custer's Dick" from _Custer's Revenge_ to my list, but I feel like it is somewhat edged out by these five that I just remembered.

6. Raccoon Tail-- Super Mario Bros. 3
7. Soul Calibur-- Soul Calibur series
8. Toy Bow-- Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
9. Spear of Destiny-- God of War 2

Hidden Blade (Assassin's Creed), because they never see it coming.
Deathtraps (Goldeneye: Rogue Agent), because often there is a moment of realisation on the part of the victim.
Sniper Rifle (Halo 3), because you have to love the *Boom! Headshot* factor of it.
And, of course, the BFG9000 (Doom. Duh). A great big middle finger to aim and/or accuracy.

This rifle is just...lovely. It's powerful and accurate. My weapon of choice in any given WWII game.
And of course, the noise it makes is wonderful, absolutely sublime. I shouldn't have to say much about it, really.
Oh god. I'll go reinstall Medal of Honor AA now.

wow... why has nobody said anything about the P.R.L. 412 for resident evil 4!?!?
its a fuckin doom gun
you don't even need to aim the fucker, just charge it up and point in your targets general direction then fire and anything that can be broken/killed will be broken/killed!
p.s. you get it from finishing the game on pro difficulty

Devil May Cry 4

Pandora's Box - This thing is godly. Not only does it change into 7 different things, but once you fill it's bar full it can instantly kill everything on the screen.

Lucifer - a Vergil wannabe but who cares cause it's cool, and you can throw a rose to finish them off.
