This guy

Why? Because of this

Honestly, need I say more?

Female, not too sure, not too much thought into it, but I'd probably go for Tara too, both for her roles in games and cartoons.

Everyone has a favorite actor and actress, but lets limit it to the voice acting.

So, for actor:

Steve Blum. Hands down. I like EVERY [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Emkm8G3EdW8&feature=channel&list=UL] role he does, but prefer his deeper, more menacing sounding voices, alah Amon from Legand of Korra, TOM from Toonami, Scott Micheal from Ghost Recon, and Grayson Hunt from Bulletstorm. You know, this one:

I also like how he actually cares about his fans and has tried to deride the whole "Piracy isnt hurting anyone" lie that people try to tell themselves.

And for Actress:

Tara Strong, mostly because I find it interesting that most of the roles she plays are dudes. I also find it strange that her voice can jump around pretty much all over the place. Example:

sidenote: Y that vid No have my favorite role for her, Kiera from Jak and Daxter
Ok, thank you for opening my eyes to Steve Blum! I've heard this guy everywhere, but, now, I know all these voices were from the same guy!

I've had this list of five voice artists I've really come to like, that include Ryan Drummond (Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog 1999-2004), JK Simmons (Cave Johnson, Portal 2), James Arnold Taylor (Ratchet, Ratchet & Clank minus first game), Tara Strong (Raven, Teen Titans), and John De Lancie (Norm the Genie, Fairly Odd Parents).

I really need to keep better tabs on voice actors. I'm going to need them in a few years.

Jennifer Hale is by far my most favourite female voice actor, her role as female Shepard did not hurt anything either.

My most favourite male voice actor does not need an introduction.

Well, Norio Wakamoto's been mentioned already I see.

And yet no mention of Megumi Hayashibara. You uncultured Philistines. Hmf.

Ironside is good but I prefer him in live action stuff. No, you have to split it between Harry Shearer and Hank Azaria, and as much as I like Shearer, Azaria is always going to take that crown.
Castelleneta is good too.

As for the ladies.

Nancy fucking Cartwright

*sigh* Why doesn't Mel Blanc ever get any acknowledgement?

They didn't call him "The man of a Thousand Voices" for nothing.

As for more modern voice actors there are plenty of them; Scott McNeil, The Dobson brothers, Peter Stormare, Clancy Brown, Jennifer Hale, Tara Strong, Keith David, Jim Cummings, Ian Gregory, Charles Dennis, Steve Blum, Terrence Stone, Liam O'Brien, Crispin Freeman, Mako and possibly others.

There are too many to just pick two.

Voice actor? The late and deeply respectable Tony Jay. "My format? Virus;to corrupt, and concquer!" -Tony Jay,as Megabyte in ReBoot

That man has nailed the voice of the smug villain so perfectly...I mean, seriously! Listen to him speak! He voiced the Elder God of The Legacy of Kain and Megabyte, for crying out loud!

As far as voice actresses go...That's a tough one. Ash Sroka's voice for Tali is pretty damn good. Then there's Claudia Black's voice for Morrigan in Dragon Age: Origins, which is absolutely amazing in how she brings the perfect voice to the sociopathic witch.

Male: Billy West. Closely followed by Keith David, John DiMaggio and Seth MacFarlane

Female: Either Jennifer Hale or Tara Strong

To be fair, it was rather difficult whittling it down this these names, there are plenty of good voice actors working.

Male: Tim Curry. I love listening to his voice. There's a quality to it that is hard to identify, but makes anything with him in it just a little bit better, no matter how horrible whatever he is saying is.

Female: Tara Strong. Not for any particular reason, just that she seems to do the voice work for a lot of characters I like. So she gets points for being prolific.

Male: Steve Blum, Varric/(SWTOR) Male Troopers VA, (SWTOR) Male Jedi Knights VA, Keith David.

Female: Jennifer Hale, Ash Sroka, Ali Hillis, Laura Bailey, Kari Wahlgreen.

Patrick Stewart gets an honorable mention for the Emperor in ESIV, and Liam Neeson for the father in Fallout 3.

..Now if only Morgan Freeman could get a prolific VA role..

Top five, I would say Shiraishi Ryoko, Sawashiro Miyuki, Sugita Tomokazu, Hanazawa Kana, Rie Kugimiya, and Itou Shizuka. That's six, you might say. Well, shut up.

Now for names you guys might actually recognize:
Yuri Lowenthal (he's in almost everything, so he brings a sense of familiarity) and
Hynden Walch. Also I'm amazed no one's mentioned Dee Bradley Baker.

Wow... nobody has mentioned Jim Cummings yet? Yeah. Jim Cummings. How can you argue with Minsc, Don Karnage and Darkwing Duck?

As for female... Tress MacNeille. The great voice of Mom, etc. from Futurama and countless other things.

Steve Blum and Jennifer Hale.

Steve Blum's voice is like listening to cigarette smoke dance tentatively across a silken scarf.

Jennifer Hale is just...

Well she's just awesome.
I'm going to second this.

There is just a quality to Steve Blum's voice that speaks volumes in only a few words.

Jennifer Hale had better be good. She's in just about everything. Her IMDB page is longer than frigging movie script. If nothing else her experience makes her good. The fact that she is hired that much...pretty much says it all.
