Not exactly a complete level so much as an environment, but I loved Zora's Domain from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Diving from the top of the waterfall and taking potshots at the King with my slingshot were two of my favorite pastimes. It's even cooler when you return as an adult and find the whole place frozen solid.

The instant I get to the water level I just put down the controller and say "You've gotta be kidding me" I really hate water levels. The most annoying water level would have to be Water Temple In Ocarina Of Time.

I'd have to go with Torvus Bog/ Dark Torvus Bog from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is just an amazingly complex level and has some brilliant fights in it, as well as a boss whom to this day I can't beat.
This, definitely. But I could beat it thanks to my strategy guide, which I later lost, along with losing the game also. God I want to play it again.

I don't like water levels so I'm gonna have to go on record saying the sunken airship level in FFX. it was two battles and two clicks. short and sweet.

Manaan. It was beautiful and more peacefull than Dantooine. I hated the actuall underwater part though. Until I discovered the item duplication glitch that is. That glith made me hundreds of thousands of credits. Good times.

There you go. All of the glitches and exploits for KotOR you would ever need. Scrool down to find the item duplication glitch.

I really liked the Little Mermaid level in Kingdom Hearts (NOT the second one...ugh). It was pretty cool, and the boss fights against Ursula were unbelievably tense and fun.
Which one was the musical?
Or am I thinking of another game?
The musical was the 2nd game, which was a good game, but that level was awful.

I would have to say the Water Temple from Twilight Princess, because the boss fight was fun and easy, and the actual temple was not NEARLY as hard or annoying as the one from OoT.

That or the sewer levels in inFamous, if that counts. You learn a new power every time you go down there. InFamous made sewer levels fun (never...happened...before).

I'd say they count. And the atmosphere down there is just so incredible. It's really.. inviting.. in an eerie way.

I typically don't like water levels. At all. But the two in Mother 3 and Super Metroid were bearable. So I'll just go with one of those.

I think it's the lighting and shadows of Cole. (Wow, I've never once talked about the way lighting affects a game's atmosphere, what's happening to me?).

Legend of Zelda, MM, that water level was bright colourful and interesting, even it was confusing as hell and being in turbines getting throw all over the place was interesting. Then you had the epic boss battle with the giant fish that would try and eat you and throw you around, he made me scared to go in the water. O_O

All the ones left on the editing room floor. They are the bane of my gaming existence.

I loved the Water Temple in OoT. Very fun and not at all annoying or a pain in the FUCKING arse.
I agree.
That was developer genius at it's finest.
I totally DIDN'T break my controller and utter several thousands expletives throughout the course of that Temple...
I actually really enjoyed that temple. I never understand when people go on about how hard it was, it was just a case of memorising things.

I for once loved Oot's Water Temple. Psychonauts Fish Boss level was also quite good, but immediately trumped by Lungfishopolis. But no water level gave me such an adrenaline rush as Half Life 2's Water Hazard level. That level was pure brilliance, I loved that chopper chase, racing through those sewers.

I think this sort of counts, the level in Otogi: Myth of Demons where you have to cross moonlight bridges over water filled with tortured souls in order to reach and purify the demon sea sprite who resides nearby.

Also I'll mention the whole of Bioshock.... just to be a prick.
