Boone. Duh. All you have to do is sit back and watch that magnificent killing machine.
Also Fawkes because he could snip with that gatling lazer.
Chinese Assault rifle. That gun has been with me through hell.

The Perforator. In conjunction with the CSA, Fallout 3 became the easiest game in the world to beat.

The Ratslayer.
A unique vermit riffle that comes with a silencer and normal/night vision scope.
Also its crazy accurate and every shot is a critical.
With the right stats, and in sneak you can (no joke) one shot Deathclaws with it.

Not the most effective but for "ahaha! oh sh*t! did you see that!" factor i'd go with the displacer glove.

Fallout 3 - A3-21's Plasma Rifle
Fallout New Vegas - Gobi Campaign Sniper Rifle

The A3-21's Plasma Rifle got me all the way through Fallout 3. I used most of the guns in the game that I could get (I got almost all of them), but kept coming back to this one. It just... felt right.

Gobi Campaign Sniper Rifle is just a beast. It has lower strength requirements then the Anti-Material Rifle (Requiring you either to rebalance your specials or take an extra perk or two just to use), and ammo is much more abundant supply, plus, the hand load JSP ammo is just plain better then regular ammo in general.

For the amount of use, I'd have to go with the Metal Blaster.

For shear style, I'm gonna go with the Laser RCW.

The Metal Blaster (Laser shotgun from The Pitt in case anyone forgot) is the ultimate sneak attack weapon. Since every beams is counted as it's own crit, only Behemoths could take more than one shot if I got the drop on them.

The Laser RCW wins for style because it's a laser tommy gun. I don't feel like I need to explain myself further. (That thing ate ammo way too fast to be practical though).

Hunting Rifle + Bloody Mess Perk + Sneak Attack = Me, taking your face off at 200 meters without you ever having the chance to realize it. I made a little shrine in the extra room of my Megaton home dedicated to it. I placed one on the table, with the shelves covered in broken rifles to repair it with and boxes of ammo, all whilst I leave a Fat Man, Plasma Rifles, and Flamethrowers in a pile in the corner, leaving them with nothing to do but stare at it, and realize the greatness they shall never achieve.

My friends and I have a joke about Boone. That he could probably shoot the balls of a bird on the highest tip of the Lucky 38, with a single shootgun, broken limbs, facing the opposite direction and as far away from the casino at night.

my friend is playing through the whole game using only the RCW (and a laser rifle sniper rifle), and if you convert your ammo into EC packs, you actually get 6 for every energy cell and 3 for every mf cell, so you can get a ridiculous sum of ammo for it. Plus if you get the RCW's mod, it cuts your ammo consumption by about a quarter.

as far as he's concerned the thing prints ammo.

My average weapon set was The Reservist, Ol' Painless, Vengeance, Fisto, and The Terrible Shotgun, point blank range The Terrible Shotgun wins hands down, but in all honesty, I think the real winner is Grim Reaper's Sprint from Fallout 3, OP as hell

I would have to say the anti-materiel rifle, I used that to oneshot the Alpha Dethclaw in the Sloan Quarry. (I was in sneak mode)
