Good lord, there's so many great songs to pick from, I can't just choose one as my favorite. I'll just pick my favorite songs from the individual games, even though it's not going to be easy at all.

Second Place: The Dark World

Second Place: Hyrule Field

Second Place: Termina Field

Second Place: Molgera Battle

Second Place: Midna's Lament

The Zelda series has the best music in video gaming ever. I'm really hoping Nintendo decides to go with an Orchestra for the upcoming Wii Zelda. Such a thing would be orgasmic beyond compare.

I honestly couldn't choose, but I have a fond love of Gannondorf's Theme tune, especially considering it's been the same tune all the way through the series.

Google "ZREO" if you want some re-done Zelda tunes. They're really good.
I cannot thank you enough for that site recommendation. Its awesome, just simply awesome.

i loved the music of the forest temple in OOT, it was soo creepy and just set the right mood for the place.

also i love the song "The legend of Zelda by nine inch nails LIVE" i have no idea where they recorded it, or who recorded it, but it´s out there if you look in your average music downloader.

and among my favourites there is also the one made by "system of a down", again i dont know if its from them or whatever but its a great song.

This one is also woderful, from the same game.

This one, although I prefer the one from the A Link to the Past/Four Swords GBA remake, the song that plays when you are at the screen to pick which game you are going to play.

Heh, don't mention it. I'm nothing to do with the site or anything, but I really think it deserves more credit than it gets. And they really do make some of the Zelda tunes sound epic, especially the Wind Waker Ocean ones. Some aren't as good, but I think the "overworld" ones in general are utterly brilliant.

I always get afraid when mentioning it here in-case I get told off for "advertising" or something, but there's no credit to earn for recommending the site, really, regardless of who I am.

But yeah, you're welcome. I just wish there was a way to bring some of those tunes into the original Zelda games.

...and to keep my post on-topic, I actually had a think about it, and my favourite tune is The Song of Time. I'll always love Ganon's theme, though, just because it reminds me of a simpler time... that and I absolutely love Ganon with a passion. But The Song of Time always reminds me of the beauty that is Ocarina of Time, and the years of joy the music from that game has brought me.

Too many good ones to pick just one, I think. But just for the sake of making an original decision, I'll choose the theme from OoT that plays when going through the Castle Grounds.

The Zelda Main Theme. The full orchestrated version in Brawl is pretty awesome. Oh, and any Video Games Live video on YouTube playing this theme is friggin' sweet. As for in-game music, it would have to be the ending credits music for Windwaker or the little leaf-guy's theme that he teaches you (can't remember the name of it.)
