I love the Keys to the Kingdom saga, and while I do think the Abhorsen trilogy is somewhat overrated, I still very much enjoyed it.

Shade's Children was one of the first novels I ever read, and it holds a special place in my heart. I guess I'd name that one my favorite.

Also, am I the only one here who read the Seventh Tower series? I thought that was pretty good.

Shades Children.

Amazing book, original, well written, and one of the first pseudo-sex scenes i read in a book.

It was said he never intended to have it released, i got an original copy free at some book signing thingy or other.

Amazing book, Brilliant author.

I read the Abhorsen trilogy like...7 years ago? Only thing I've read by him. They were alright. Something decent to read, but certainly didn't seem amazing to me.

I'd also agree with the previous posters...they seemed to really be aimed at teenage girls. Can't exactly say why, but it seemed that way to me.

My sister and her boyfriend must have liked the Abhorsen books because they named their daughter after Lirael.

I enjoyed the Abhorsen books quite a bit back when I first read them, I should read them again. Haven't read his other work.

Either Shade's Children or the Keys to the Kingdom series. Shade's children because it was fantastically told and I seem to remember actually really caring about the characters for once, and the ending was kind of sad in one way and happy in another and was done really well.

Keys to the Kingdom because I fucking love the setting of it, he couldn't have made a better setting for that sort of story, it's just so brilliantly absurd.

I'm a guy and I liked the Abhorsen series. Been a while since I read any of his other stuff though.

Read the Abhorsen trilogy, loved it.

Read Shades Children, loved it.

Read the Seven Towers series, was kinda "eh".

Read Mister Monday, really didn't like it. Although by that stage I was probably too old to be considered part of the target audience.

The Seven Towers series was the only of his series I've ever read. I liked it for a time but I never finished it. I couldn't find the 5th or sixth book. One or the other. I seem to remember it loosing its quality over time so that's probably why I stopped looking.

I did read part of Mister Monday. I didn't like it enough bother with the second in the series.

When I was younger he was my favorite author. It was one of the first series I ever read and it got me into science fiction and fantasy. So thank you Mr. Nix.
