Favourite boss fight in Dark Souls?

Quelaag is the most fun to fight in terms of gameplay mechanics. She has a nice array of attacks, plus you've got to think fast and plan ahead to avoid being surrounded by lava. Nothing about the boss fight really wow-ed me in terms of looks or atmosphere.

Gravelord Nito was the most satisfying, and terrifying of the bosses. The tomb of the giants has such an oppressive and mysterious atmosphere, the enemies are incredibly tough and intimidating, so when I finally killed Nito and escaped it was euphoria unlike any other. The fight itself, though, was a real slog.

Artorias is my favorite.

He's like what the final boss should have been. Just you and your enemy. No gimmicks, no tricks, just a straight up duel. Constantly dodging his quick hitting attacks and countering with little pokes as to not leave myself too open. Being constantly afraid of his charge up move.

Every other boss i find pretty easy. They usually have an easy way. Even pikachu and snorlax have this (pikachu is vulnerable to fire and snorlax is vulnerable to lightning). Artorias has no such thing.

Also a close second goes to black dragon kalameet for being the only true dragon in the souls series that you actually have a fight with, instead of chipping away at their HP from a distance with arrows while they stay still and spray fire in a single corridor.

You can have that sort of a match against Gwyn. Nobody forces you to parry him, i always fought him head on myself.

The Furtive Pygmy which was so easily forgotten. I tried to look him up online on his whereabouts and came up with nothing. And after months of playing trying to turn over every nook and cranny, I found him. Best boss fight ever. >

Quelaag was fun for me. Artorias was really good.

Kalmeet takes the cake for me. You cannot parry his attacks and his grab attack leaves a temporary damage multiplier on you. Still trying to cut his tail and come on, who doesn't like to fight dragons?

My favorite boss fight would be S&O: just great AI at play with that fight and a real challenge. I prefer fighting Super Smough for the second part however. All that buzzing electricity with the pounding of his feet and his hammer makes it seem like reality is about to implode. Super Orn didn't have the same effect for me.

My favorite boss track is probably for the Gaping Dragon. That music and the length of the fight makes it seem really grueling, even if the boss itself isn't to difficulty.

My favorite boss lore-wise would be Pricilla. I didn't kill her in my run. I got the impression that she just wanted to be left alone and the evil creatures in her realm weren't her doing, but the remains of people other more evil characters had banished there.

My least favorite boss would be Queelag. Not so much for the boss herself, I just felt like her domain should have been a bit more extensive than a corridor, a room, a bell tower and a bonfire.

Even for as much trouble as they always give me (I swear it takes at least 5 tries each game), I love the Four Kings. Just fighting in the Abyss where everything is so pitch black you can barely tell where you are, and there's nothing blocking your view of the distance at all so you just see them from afar dart out at you. It's just an amazingly atmospheric boss fight. If there was no sound at all, it would have been even greater. Granted, then I'd get even more pissy because of the hum of my Xbox or something.

Close runner up is Nito.

I love Crossbreed Priscilla. That whole area is pretty much my favourite. It's very atmospheric and sinister and I didn't expect it when I went up to the painting.

Sif was my favorite, not because it was some extraordinary challenge, nor did it give me the most satisfaction to defeat, but simply because it was so visually stunning. I don't get that feeling from a lot of games, so it was a very pleasant feeling.
Also, Puppy-kicker club!

Honorable mention goes to Crossbreed Priscilla. Painting area was the most boring and tedious place in the entire game if you ask me, but Priscilla was amazing.

I don't think I have an actual favourite, but I quite liked fighting Gwynn. He gave me a lot of trouble, but it was nice to have a mano-a-mano brawl with a Boss equal your size.

Hmm that's a toughie. Apart from Bed of Chaos, I actually love every boss battle in Dark Souls. My favourite used to be Nito, but since the Artorias expansion I'd have to say that Kalameet is now my favourite. It's a wonderfully oppressive battle and that telekinetic grab attack followed by the calamity damage multiplier effect is a great idea. The best part for me is the reward you get for killing it. I laughed so hard when I got that.

From, you are evil. But I love you for it. Also, I'm ready for Souls 3 now please.

I agree. Very haunting atmosphere. The crow demons freaked me out. Fighting an invisible Priscilla was a gamble that made me hold my breath every time I dared to attack... Also, she was hot.

Manus. That ************ was going apeshit crazy on me with those attacks. Im a tank build, but a medium tank build, since silver knight armor set variants allow such with the silver knight shield and just wow. One full combo and i only have a SLITHER of stamina left. I don't think i will be able to block that batshit crazy mode attack on NG+
