I've got to say this one reflects my views on military spending quite well. The more you invest in it, the more destruction you'll eventually reap. It happened in WWI...

Anyway, I like this one for its cute anti-war message.

Calvinball is the best.

That one almost made me cry. A magnificent ending of a magnificent series.

Sadly, no one has been able to find the source of this work and no one has stepped forward to claim it. It's quite possible that Bill Watterson penned this, but it's also possible that is a brilliant piece of fan art as well.

Either way, it's quite touching.[/QUOTE]
I like how she looks like Susie Derkins with Calvin's coloration. Too cute.

I love them all too much, but I'm thinking one of the ones that I really loved was the arc where their house gets broken into, because that extreme change in tone was really, really, well done. No other comic has ever been that good, and to this day, these are the only comics I read. None of the crap they have in the newspapers.

Well, they were always meant to be "in love", according to the books...

My favorite C&H strip will always be in the series where Calvin convinces Rosalyn to play Calvinball with him. The look on her face in the one where she "stumbles into the perimeter of wisdom" is priceless.

The Ritalin one is a heartbreaking photoshoop that wasn't actually done by Bill Watterson. The 160th and final strip ran on Sunday, December 31, 1995 featuring the two of them outside.

It does however, hold a terrible mirror up to what they have done to todays youth. Labeling imagination and free will as problem behavior.

I effin LOVED Calvin and Hobbes when I was growing up and it's impossible for me to pick a favorite, but this one inspired me to do the same thing.
