Favourite Devils fruit and or character from One Piece?

Hey guys I was reading the X-Men thread and it got me thinking whats your favourite Devils fruit from One Piece and or Character?

If you do not read One Piece but wish to join in here is a link to a list of different powers.

Personally my favourite is Kuma and his paw paw ability to reflect anything. I mean imagine having the ability to repel anything you touch, including intangible concepts such as fatigue and pain the options are limitless! Not to mention the character is really cool too he's so calm and collected and nobody can ever even touch him.

I have debated on more than one occasion as to how people even manage to fight against him. His power is so broken it't not even cool I mean whats the weakness of light and I am sure sombody would say darkness but light gets rid of darkness litterally light has no weakness.

The light one was cool, but I like Edward Teach's dark fruit power. My favorite character so far is between Luffy, Rob Lucci, and that new guy...not Kidd, but the one with the tiger pattern hat or whatever, wears a yellow shirt. It's been a few months.

From what I can gather, he seems to have the power to disconnect and reconnect people and objects, within the blue spear he creates however the people under this effect still live.

Also Whitebeard's tremor tremor fruit power is another personal favourite.

Devil fruits hmm.
Enel, cuz lightning is badass. Yeah he got his ass handed to him by luffy and his insulated rubber but seriously. Yeah light is faster but lightning people! Awesome. The giraffe for comedic value.
Ace, because flame emperor was friggin badass. Logias in general are insane, Ice Age anyone?

Fav. character is trickier. Either Shanks, shanks' right hand man Ben Beckman, Whitebeard, Garp, Zoro, Franky or Luffy. I mean seriously, during the war in marineford when ben beckman showed up, kizaru freaked out. Also, Mr. 2 is pure awesome.

Well his weakness is the same as all logias; haki. Haki trumps basically everything. When he was gonna shoot zoro (I think) and the old dude (rayleigh) from Gol D. Roger's crew showed up and deflected kizaru's kick with a kick of his own shows that it's possible to fight logias. But I think it requires haki, everyone else just passes thru the logia user unless they're using an element that's a natural opponent (like luffy's rubber vs enel's lightning)

So that's hitting and deflecting attacks from a logia. As far as Kizaru being light and thus can move at the speed of light, people have pretty good reactions in one piece. Think luffy vs blueno in the enies lobby arc, he was using soru to move real fast-like, luffy saw thru it. And it seems it takes a little while for kizaru to reform if he takes a fast trip.

So yeah, logias are awesome but they're not invincible by any means. Shanks vs. Kizaru or any of the admirals, I'd have to give that to shanks and he doesn't have any DF power at all. Hell, ben beckman freaked kizaru out, think ben would take kizaru as well.

edit: also, about that "darkness vs light" yeah, that would have to go to blackbeard, not because darkness > light, because the powers of his fruit. Kizaru's speed and powers would get negated by blackbeard's DF and then it's Ace vs blackbeard all over again, except now he's got whitebeard's power as well.

I know right? I love his power, although odds are that they'll do something stupid and kill him off with Haki, which sux, but oh well. Although seriously, the only thing which I think beats light is gravity, like a black hole, ya know? where the gravity is so powerful it warps light/ time/ space. Seriously though, light is where it's at, UNBEATABLE

Haki or no you couldnt catch him or dodge his lasers same goes to black beard he would never be able to grab him to take away his powers because of the speed he essentially can instantly teleport.

Mind you I think the show will be written in a way that his powers are really toned down so that it isnt completely unfair or unfun to watch so they will be more like what you describe.

There is a really famous scientist who is thousands of years beyond his time who is experementing with the fruits and other things thats how the gun with a dog fruit got made he figured out how to have objects eat fruits there was also a sword with a elephant fruit. They have yet to actually show the scientist or explain how hes done these things but they have mentioned him and such.

your right the whitebeard vs world goverment war was really more of a battle but they were just trying the emphasize the gravitude of the situation.

Totally true on like, all accounts. Yeah, taken literally he would kinda be unstoppable but in Oda's world everyone has weaknesses. For instance, we've seen that logia users are invulnerable to conventional attacks but light is not like fire or smoke or sand, light is wave energy. That right there is a pretty massive hurdle for anyone to overcome. Altho crocodile could probably put up a fight. Sand = glass = makin' prism's! or walk around with a bigass mirror and he can't touch you.

However, thinking like that is pointless, oda does what he wants. His universe is very well thought out but considering the physics of his devil fruits over the entertainment and storyline of OP won't really happen. I think I'm tired cuz I just read this and it's complete gibberish... Oh well, don't care.

I understand what your talking about tho and your right there really is no sence splitting hairs oda ussually covers his bases pritty good and that enough for me at least he does a better job than another 2 popular series that start with a "B" and a "N" that I wont name. Btw I totally called the ending of the last chapter!

ohhh defiantly infact one of the crew members ended up finding his old workshop and studying his designs and using them to upgrade himself (he is a cyborg) this scientist will defiantly come up in the future he is doing a lot of work for the world government and such which the main crew is more than likely going to end up taking down eventually or simply getting caught up in a world wide revolution which that scientist would be a big influence
