Hmm... Right now, I've gotta go with either Ulyaoth or Xel'lotath from Eternal Darkness. That, or the Prince from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (I'm ignoring WW here)
I love Ezio in the Assassin's Creed series, as well as having an unhealthy obsession with Master Chief. Yeah he may be a blank slate in the games but i've read into the books and it definatly adds to his character. Plus i've loved every iteration of Halo.
John Marston
For me, he's one of the first characters in a game that made me realy care for him...
Then Rockstar got the balls to end it the way they did which made me love him even more
On this obscure game called Metal Arms; the Mechanic. I don't remember his name but he was a cursing old man robot who had a peg leg and a driving/shooting dog.
MacMellon from Cod 4.
Yoshi
Marines from Halo. They were wise cracking and always getting themselves, teammates, and the player killed by their own stupidity.
June from Halo Reach. Awesome sniping bad ass.
probably more.
Of all time: probably X from Megaman X. He taught me to love video games.
More recently, though: The King of the Deep City from Etrian Odyssey 3. He's got one of my favorite character designs, and it is probably to his benefit that whenever I read a Dune book, I always picture Duke Leto as the King.
