Mass effect and Dragon age serites of games

Neverwinter Ninghts 2 has some good voice acting, and Sand is one of the best characters in this regard.

. And Felicia Day is great in everything. I take it you've seen the Guild.
Yeah it's great. I was a GM for a while so I know what that's like :p
I was just watching Resident evil 1 clips now. Why can't I remeber the voice acting being so utterly terrible. I must have blocked it out xD My face hurts from laughing.

Oh my god. That was absolutely atrocious. Brilliant!

Also I feel the following should be posted as an example of why Mass Effect has the most awesome voice acting.

I'd urge everyone to look up all the different advice vids Mordin gives, this was just the first I cam across.

Splinter Cell... Michael Ironside like a boss
Ninja'd! By a fleeting moment!

Michael Ironside can impregnate women just by talking to them. That's how gravelly smooth his voice is.

I will also give a shout out to the blindingly obvious choice of the Mass Effect series, though they have the advantage of having far more talking than most games.

Yea I'll go with ME, as mentioned before, Seth Green always cracks me up.

Also, the Harbinger with his "ASSUMING CONTROL" sends shivers down my spine everytime I hear it ^^

The Suffering. Love the voice acting in that. Hermes is just too fucking badass.

System Shock/Bioshock are great examples of awesome voice acting.

Half-Life/Portal are also amazing candidates.

I also loved the voice acting in Syphon Filters' 1 through 3.

Anything by Valve is just excellent for voice work since it comes with such a high degree of character building (which is not easy to do with just a voice), and Mass Effect has some excellent performances, but I'm going to be special and say The Darkness.

Freaking excellent directing, and the characterisations are very memorable as a result. It's just so...suitable to the demonic-mafia concept of the whole game while keeping to a movie-quality standard.

...I would love to provide a sample, but any decent ones I can find are spoiler-filled. Sorry about that.

Anything Valve does.
Persona 3 and 4 have got some really nice voice acting despite the occasional character with a prrrretty annoying voice. (FUUKA'S YES THE KISS OF LIFE!)
Ditto on Syphon Filter!

Sand really got a chance to shine during the trial part of the game. I probably would have just ignored him as the obligatory sarcastic character, but he was just awesome during that part.

Not only is he a wizard but he is also a lawyer. How more badass can you get?

OT: Fable 2 and Fable 3. Reaver is such a great character.

Must. . . mention. . . Saint's Row.

Oh god the voice acting is so deliciously camp in this whole series that it's brilliant. It's funny because it's intentional, since I don't think anyone short of Uwe Bol could write such terrible dialogue without trying really hard, which, as strange as it may seem, is a point in the game's favor.

As for serious voice acting, Red Dead has to take the cake for me. Every character just felt so right and none of the voices sounded out of place. I don't know where the hell Rockstar keeps finding more and more great acting talent, but I don't think they're gonna stop.

And as for L.A. Noire, that's not going to be so much Voice acting as it is actual acting.

Dawn of War 2 series. The plot is meh, but the writing and acting are just grand.

Not to mention the sheer volume of voicing there is. Each unit has something like 300 lines, it's ridiculous. They put tons of work into the look and feel of this game.

Mordin had the best voice actor I have ever heard in a game in my entire life, next to Stephen Fry as Reaver. Never have I loved a villian so much and wanted to kill just as much but the cleaver british witt and constent backstabbing just stops me from choosing one.

Plus whenever Yvonne Strahovski (didn't even need to look up the right spelling) says anything I get a funny feeling in my man parts.
That's the Aussie accent mate, it's a beutiful thing.
