I pretty much agree big time. Post-apocalyptic desert wastelands are wayyy overused these days, which is odd, why would that be a popular environment? I mean, besides ripping off Fallout.Midnight Crossroads said:I cannot describe how much I hate post-apocalyptic wastelands. Everything from the scavenged guns to the tin buildings to the blasted landscape and re-purposed buildings makes me just want to turn the game off. I'm not interested in playing a game where victory means taking home a pile of trash to hold on for just one more day.
In general, I like places with fog and rain. I like places which have lots of places to explore. I like the ocean and islands. I like the dark. Cities are cool, but only if they impress upon me a feeling of size.
I really like snowy city environments, and dark, rainy city environments. I'd also love to see more city interior settings and preferably not recycled settings again and again, as so many games love doing, it breaks the feeling.
