Exactly what it says on the tin, really, what's your favourite metal album(by metal, I'm covering a pretty broad spectrum, heavy rock, hardcore punk, etc, also acceptable.)

My overall favourite is probably Mastodon's Leviathan, but Slipknot's Vol. 3.0: The Subliminal Verses and Black Sabbath's eponymous album come pretty close.

Nevermore's 'Dead Heart, In A Dead World'

Flagitious Idiosyncrasy In The Dilapidation's self-titled (if we're allowing grindcore, and there's no reason we shouldn't)

Voivod - Dimension Hatross

I hate it when people make these threads because they name bands that aren't metal it's impossible for me to pick one song/album/band etc.

For me it would have to be....

.....

See I told you it is impossible for me!

Kill 'em All by Metallica OR Rust in Peace by Megadeth they are both fantastic albums.

Please don't let this go into a Megadeth vs Metallica flame war

I said in the opening post it's a broad spectrum. I probably should have said "Favourite heavy album" but there's different kinds of heavy, not just punk/metal an' such.

I know, i was kinda joking with myself since I used to be that typical guy who screams "Those bands aren't metal dammit!!, I recently let go of that attitude.

Anyways I'll just the album that came to mind first

In Flames - The Jester Race.

Heh, that does annoy me.

If we're talking about non-metal heavy stuff, anyway, Refused's The Shape Of Punk To Come is a favourite.
