I don't really hate any genres so... I don't know what I'm supposed to say, I guess that if it would be just what you expect from a movie, I'm kinda with Mr. Caramel Frappe, with the Up thing as I thought it was going to be rubbish but I actually really liked it, but I don't love it though...
Oh wait I do hate one genre, I just remember I hate Raunchy comedies, and I have yet to see one I like...
My post doesn't seem very on topic..

I'm not a big fan of rom-coms but I enjoyed Love Actually and The Proposal. Although, as Tippy2k2 said, I probably mostly liked that film because of Ryan Reynolds.

I hate drama films like A Few Good Men however I loved Lost in Translation (although that film got abit of romance and comedy). Even without the romance and comedy the location of that film is worth more watching unlike some boring court room.

I usually dont like rom-coms but 50 (40?) first dates was a brilliant movie. even if im pretty damn sure that she would murder him despite the video
I completely remember watching that movie with my family when I was about 8(??) and thought it was great! Ten second Tom is one of the bits I distinctly remember (If it was even from 50 first dates:p)

I hate Westerns. Hate them!
However, True Grit (2010) is easily in my top twenty movies of all time... Hell, it might even be in my top ten.

And don't say that the original is better, because it isn't.

I don´t particularly like musicals, but I thought Phantom of the Opera was amazing!
The soundtrack is still a regular favorite.

I didn't really like romances that much, but I watched Remember Me (Yes, that one with Robert Pattison) and I really enjoyed it...but I don't like it anymore, painful memories and all

I did not expect "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" to be any good - not just because of the title, but also because of the genre (romantic comedy), which I usually hate.

What I got was a really clever and genuinely funny movie. Go get it on DVD, it's great.

I like Face/Off.

And action movies like that with revenge and family in danger and whatnot is usually something I don't like.

Also romantic comedies usually bore me to tears, but I liked Kissing Jessica Stein, but that was probably mostly because of lesbians. Maybe I'd like the genre of romance-movies more if there were more lesbian couples in them. (as I'm lesbian myself, and while I can be invested and interested in hetero or gayman-romance, it's going to take more than just the romantic aspect, and if the romance is supposed to be the thing that carries the story...)

And I don't know if 'found footage' is a genre, but I usually dislike that. But I loved Trolljegeren.

Two Genres I don't watch

Musicals: Phantom of the Opera and Chicago I loved both of those.

Period Romance: Pride and Prejudice that was a good one, Princes Bride (one of my favorite movies ever)

Silent Hill serves as a two-for-one in this regard.

I really hate horror films, and--as we all know--video game movies tend to suck pretty bad. But the Silent Hill movie was a pretty good adaptation. Not perfect by any means, but it was enjoyable. I'm patiently awaiting the sequel now.
