yeah i love the matrix trilogy, but i really love district 9, and grandma's boy.
but i'm waiting for daybreakers to come out in Australia so that might make it on the list.
Grandma's Boy was halarious, but the Marix trilogy was terrible. The first one was the only good one.

Eraserhead. Merely because no movie has ever creeped me out so much. And probably never will.
Yeah, there are certain movies that fall under, "See it once and then never see it again". But I'd say that Eraserhead falls under, "See it once then decapitate it, bury it upside down and then piss over the grave". I don't think I've ever seen more of claustrophobic mindfuck than Eraserhead.

My favourite movies change on the fly. Right now I'm fond of Ponyo on The Cliff By The Sea, Let The Right One In and Robocop.

There's a lot of good, classic movies out there which have already been mentioned, but to count as my favourite it'd have to be something I can watch over and over and still love to pieces.
This woman speaks the truth! Quick, someone get her a grilled-cheese sandwich!

And the one and only movie I can never ever get tired of is... Gone in 60 Seconds.

Yeah, so sue me. I love Nicholas Cage, and this entire movie is a ginormous awesomeness pie with coolness frosting!

Nice to see someone has seen that movie appart from myself. Restored my faith in vampires, absolutely brilliant. Probably would be a perfect movie if it wasn't for the cat bit.

What made that movie so fantastic was that it wasn't about vampires, it was about the characters. One of whom happend to be a vampire.

I'm still a little confused on how to feel about the ending, though. I mean, is it a happy ending or a sad ending?

Shawshank Redemption, Full Metal Jacket, or that one Chuck Norris movie "The President's Man". It is so fun to watch with some friends, just to point out all the errors (i.e. Norris is parachuting, then the next shot shows him much much higher in the air for the sake of him having a dramatic exit).

Goddamn I love Cary Grant. His style and dead on delivery shines in both of these gems. Although it's kind of funny that my favorite of the two, (Arsenic and Old Lace) Grant considered it to be his worst performance and maintained that belief for his entire career, and yet my favorite character is him as Mortimer Brewster.

Alien
only the first one though, the others land in my category of 'what the hell were they thinking?'
