Favourite ps1 game.

nostalgia has gripped me in her iron chokehold once again and i started playing my ps1 and all my old favourites(takes me back to the carfree 90's).

my favourites are:
parappa the rapper(epic game completely under rated)
Pandemonium 1 & 2 (cos a platformer only gets more fun if your a mad jester)
every crash bandicoot(need i explain?)
spyro the dragon( cos setting frogs arses on fire is always good for shits n giggles)
rayman (really fun and good looking style)
Heart of darkness (challenging and wacky fun game)
oddworld: abes oddyssey (awesome fun game everyone should play this)

theres probably more but those are all i can remember for now so whats your favourite ps1 games, also please i dont want spam of everyone saying final fantsay 7.

Ghost in the shell, Heart of Darkness, Vandal Hearts 1 and 2, Vagrant Story Colony Wars, Unholy Wars, Future Cop L.A.P.D, Adventures of Alundra, Digimon world 2003, Final Fantasy VIII and XI and Legend of Dragoon. (I'll spare you the FFVII)
Almost forgot Bust-A-Groove, that game was freaking addictive.

I agree, legend of mana was a top game for PS1, but all time fav is without a doubt Legend of Dragoon. Don't know it? SHAME! that game changed my gaming personality forevs.

So you'd be sick of all the people that used to compare it to final fantasy constantly too?
That drove me insane. It was nothing like the FF series.
Oh god... Area 51. that game was horrible and it was made by midway. So was the more recent one on ps2 with david duchovny and it was horrible.
The even more recent one on PS3/PC/360 was also made by midway and it was horrible...
Seeing a pattern yet?
Also, i forgot Metal Gear Solid... Shame on me. Oh, and Speed freaks!, crash team racing, Dino Crisis 2... i'm going to stop. So many good games.

This was my childhood games. I LOVED SPYRO! I would have added PS1 Star Wars the Phantom Menance it was my introduction to Star Wars game which led to Battlefront 1 and 2 my favourite games.

its to hard to pick a favorite there are soooooooo many great games for the ps1 and they all got ruined when they got modernised for the ps3 and 360... shame all my old discs are either lost or damaged otherwise id find a ps1 to play them.

If anything, Legend of Dragoon is more similar to Valkyrie Profile (in terms of the battle system), although even they can't really be compared.
Also, there's another great Ps1 game! Valkyrie Profile.
I think i'm going to restart LoD.
BTW, I was referring to Legend Of Dragoon being similar to the FF series, not Legend of Mana. That game flopped horrible, and was very repetitive.

FFVII VIII (haven't played IX), they got me in to rpgs.

MGS, it absolutely blew me away when i played it and is still my favourite in the series.

This. It was my first ps1 game and it made me glad i bought a ps1.

And ofcourse the best fighting game evar...TEKKEN 3! I have such fond memories of whooping my cousins constantly on this game

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Need For Speed: High Stakes, Tekken 3, Crash Bandicoot 2, and Metal Gear Solid are all at the top of that list (in no particular order).
