The above quote, from Halo 2 (also mentioned in a different context in Halo 3) has been on my mind a lot recently, for reasons I find somewhat hard to identify. The series has a lot of similarly good quotes like that. It got me thinking about quotes in general - and a visit to the search bar revealed that the last similar thread was apparently made in 2010 (not counting the video-game specific ones, of which there are far too many), so I think the time is ripe for a new one.

So, dear Escapist, what are some of your favourite quotes from all media? Film, TV, game, book, music, fellow forumites, all sorts are allowed and encouraged. They can be funny, scary, philosophical, dumb - anything goes.

Nice Radiohead quote you got there.

At the moment, I keep shouting "JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?" because I recently finished an anime called Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It is fucking crazy.

Evangelion also has some good quotes from Shinji and Asuka.

Let The Right One In has a memorable quote I think... "Squeal like a pig. So, squeal." - Oskar.

Climbing Up The Walls was always one of my favourite songs from that album. So unsettling.

I watched it for the first time the other day - I'd been missing out!

My personal favourite exchange was this one. It so neatly encapsulated the nature of the film to me.
