What is your favourite scene in your favourite movie?

Mine is the first scene of Desperado where Buscemi is telling the story of El Mariachi.

Probably not my favourite movie or scene overall as I'm generally pretty mercurial on stuff like that, but the scene I've almost certainly gotten the most milage out of over the years is from Space Balls: When will then be now?

The first 5 minutes of Hitch, and all of R.E.D.! and the speech at the end of scent of a woman. I love Al Pacino

The interacial fight scene from A Time to Kill when the KKK Grand-dragon gets set on fire and Mississippi Burning when Gene Hackman and his fellow officers chase Brad Dourif dressed as angry KKK members or the KKK scene in Harold and Kumar go to Guantanimo Bay.

This is the first scene I thought of. It's from MirrorMask. Can't claim it's my favorite (Mirrormask is my favorite movie, but it's hard to think of every scene of every movie that I loved and pick one) just one of those scenes that sticks out as amazing.

If you don't know about MirrorMask it's a perfect storm of a movie. Dave McKean and Neil Gaiman developed it together and it's produced by the wonderful Jim Henson Company.
Now, if that hasn't convinced you to see it, I don't think anything will. xD

Oh... Well, for one single scene, it would probably be this scene from Big Fish. (Please forgive the poor quality.)

Aw, man waterworks every time, even now!

The entire first scene of Inglourious Basterds. With the Jew Hunter and the french dairy farmer.

I can't find the whole thing on youtube, and no two minute clip does it justice; but anyone who's seen the movie knows what I'm talking about. The sheer level of tension in that scene was forcing me back against my chair in the cinemas. I couldn't even blink.

Big Lebowski "You mark that frame an 8 and you're entering a world of pain."

That and the "What have the Romans done for us?" scene in MP & Life of Brian

The bar fight scene in that movie is awesome. Is that the same scene as what you're referring to? Haven't seen the movie in probably a decade.

There are several scenes that will always stick out in my mind, from various movies. Here are a few of my favorites:

Princess Mononoke - One of my all time favorite scenes takes place just after Ashitaka awakens after Shishigami has healed is fatal gunshot wound. At the time he's too weak to chew, and San has to chew his food for him. I'm always moved by the scene, for some reason.

Men in Black - J's try-out for the MIB is one of my favorite comedic sequences ever. The physical comedy present in that film is very understated, but brilliant, and nothing demonstrates it better than J dragging the table over to him to complete the test.

Finally, my favorite film scene of all time:

My Neighbor Totoro - The scene at the bus stop. No scene in any movie has ever given me so much joy. Everything about it: the nerve-racking wait for their father in the rain, the shots of the slow-moving toad. The highlight, for me, is the pure ecstatic expression Totoro adopts when he hears the sound drops of rain from the canopy makes on his umbrella. There are few scenes that will make me smile every time I watch them, this has the distinction of being one of the only scenes where I giggle out loud every time I watch it.

Cracks me up every time

Special mention goes to Al Pacino's speech at the end of Scent of a Woman.

Al is the fucking boss.
