Wait, you like it better than Hendrix's cover? I dunno, I liked Santana in it but I'm not really a fan of DMB. Is that guy even singing?

Death's cover of Judas Preist's Painkiller. Apparently Halford's voice can be made more ridiculous.

One of my faves is Van Halens cover of The Kinks, You Really Got Me. Also Stevie Ray Vaughn's cover of Little Wing by Hendrix. And lastly, Black Strobe's cover of Bo Diddley's I'm a Man has been a guilty pleasure as of late...

Johnny Cash's cover of Nine Inch Nails "Hurt". Even Trent loves it even after he did't really want to let Johnny do it.

Also Faith and Muse's cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill". It is so much better than that Placebo crap.

Manchester band Kill II This covered Frankie Goes To Hollywood's 'Two Tribes' on their third album. It's a good heavy cover, and it's greatly helped with spooky voiceovers from Taff The Voice, KIIT's resident voiceover bloke.

'If any member of your family should die while in the shelter, put them outside...Don't be alarmed.'

It's sufficently different from the original for both versions to have merit, which is rare in the world of cover versions.

Their cover of One is also epic. I think I'm one of the few people who like their no-lyrics cover of Oogie Boogie's song from Nightmare Revisited as well ... oh, Here it is!

I have three videos to show you WHY I like the cover best:

Now, I like all three bands. In Flames is probably my favorite band at the moment (based on the fact that I listen to them more than anyone else, generally), but their cover of LoC just kinda... Bites. Genesis' version is just... I dunno. Disturbed covered it well enough to do better than the original. My opinion anyway.
yeah Disturbed's Land Of Confusion cover was great, I like it better then both the Genesis and In flames versions.

all the great covers have already been mentioned, so I will go with Jimi Hendrix' All Along the Watch tower, also a great cover actually.
