This is my second thread in a day... I feel like I am breaking numerous rules.

Any way, don't you just love it when you are listening to a song, maybe you've heard it 100 times, maybe its the first time, and you just hear one line of lyrics and you think 'Damn, that is friggin awesome'? If not, you are probably in the wrong thread. Well, if you have I wanna see them.

My favourite song lyric is: I know the lift can be painfull slow, So I think I'll leave through the window.

Browny points any one who knows which band its from and even more to anyone who can name the song.

There are probably better lyrics I've heard if I think about it long enough but he's one I think is fairly good

"Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the
promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue
sky?"

Pink Floyd-Goodbye Blue Sky

My favourite lyrics are from the song "Destroy Fascism" by "Heaven Shall Burn"

I've had enough of your lies
Now it's the time to make it stop
Spreading false propaganda how your race is clean
How can you be so stupid? Colour doesn't mean a fucking thing

Now we're ready to fight for everyone's right
To live without fear getting attacked by you
Baldheaded assholes this we won't tolerate
It's time to put end to this fucking hate

Destroy fascism!
Antifascist action now...

Store bought attitude and spit, sugar coated peice of shit.
An instant rebel just add greed, another useless commodity.
Broken glass and a broken jaw, lies are told in a southern draw

Buh? I didn't say that!

Also

The endless whining sounds.
Youll be praying till next thursday
To all the gods that you can count."

Mr. Crowley, what went on in your head?
Oh, Mr. Crowley, did you talk to the dead?
Your lifestyle to me seems so tragic,
with the thrill of it all.
Your lifestyle to me seems so classic,
you waited on Satan's call.

Mr. Charming, did you think you were pure?

Immigrant song is one of my favourites. Peace sells is an insightful lyric.

Jim Morrison -
"Indians scatter on Dawn's highway, bleeding. Ghosts crowd the young child's fragile, egg-shell mind."

"All our lives we sweat and save,
Building for a shallow grave.
Must be something else, we say
Somehow to defend this place.
Everything must be this way,
Everything must be this way, yeah. Aah, yeah!"

Jimi Hendrix -
"A little Indian brave who before he was ten,
Played war-games in the woods with his Indian friends
And he built up a dream that when he grew up
He would be a fearless warrior Indian chief
Many moons past and more the dream grew strong until
Tomorrow he would sing his first war-song and fight his first battle
But something went wrong, surprise attack killed him in his sleep that night

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually"

I'll stop before I go through my entire music collection!

"Wanna hold my wife when I get home
Wanna tell the kids they'll never know
How much I love to see them smile
Wanna make a change right here, right now
Wanna live a life like you, somehow...
Gonna make your sacrifice worthwhile."
-"Believe" by Yellowcard

Song got me through some tough times, as cheesy as that may sound.

Cradle of Filth's, "An Enemy Led the Tempest": With a voice like three insanities.
Cradle DO have some rad lyrics

"Drink the pouring of my fury
Those darkened waters spur
The brink of war as my judge and jury
And rapist executioner
Our time is short, the horsemen ride
A foul-breathed chora howls, besides
Damnation and a day has passed
This divine right to genocide"

and

"I knew not Her name
Though her kiss was the same
Without a whisper of shame
As either Virtue or Sin?s
And pressed to Her Curve
I felt my destiny swerve
From damnation reserved
To a permanent grin..."

From Weird Al:

"Everything you know is wrong
Black is white, up is down, and short is long
And everything you thought was just so important doesn't matter
Everything you know is wrong
Just forget the words and sing along
All you need to understand is everything you know is wrong"

That's pretty much life summarized right there.
