Who / what is your Favourite Character from any game and genre

Does'nt have to be player played or anything just who do you love the most?

Mine would have to be Good old Duke Nukem purely for his remarks but what about y'all?

JC Denton. Guy had it all, and still managed to kick ass without seeming vaguely whiney. I think that's an aspect we've lost in games.

I always liked Link's spirit and can do attitude, even when the world keeps throwing all manner of challenges and nightmares at him, he just gets on with it and does his job. Like a medieval-fantasy SAS member

Link. That's right, the Hero of Time. The guy never said a word, and he has engraved his name in gaming history as one of the greatest characters of all time.

Hmm... Same with Gordon Freeman, now that i think about it. Not quite to Link's extent, but still. Why are mutes so popular among the gaming world, I wonder?

Just to be annoying and go against the thread title ^^ I'm listing more then one favorite.

Sander Cohen, He's crazy awesome! He sets his mooks on you, while playing Waltz Of The Flowers!

Andrew Ryan, something about him appeals to meh ^^

Augustus Sinclair, I like the sound of his voice, and his last name is awesome.

Richard Moreau/Grey , for you old fallout 1 fans out there, think back to seeing him and tell me he wasnt completely awesome if a bit... mental.

Frank Horrigan, a twelve foot tall angry pissed off mutant in hulking deadly armor with a sharp knife and deadly cannon to boot. A fab end boss fight.

I don't really have a favourite - but I love

Kreia, from KOTOR2: just for being a fleshed out character.
Sten, from Dragon age: Because he steals cookies from fat children.
Garrett, from Thief: Don't have to explain this one, taffer.
SHODAN, from System Shock 2: Because how can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?

That'll do, for now.

Duke Nukem (from the same game) for his witty one-liners and the potential of annoying your friends with it (Also Duke nukem for smash bros 4 plz?)

EDIT: I think Hector from Fire emblem 7 deserves a mention too, since he has a cool design, his attitude hits close to home and he is a good unit too.

Too many!! I guess I can narrow the list down to my top 3 favorites...
Daniella from Haunting Ground. She is creepy, unnerving and attractive, yet in the end you still feel sorry for her. She was an excellent character and really made the game even more amazing.
Norman Jayden from Heavy Rain. Not only is he incredibly human for a video game character, he's got a sweet Brooklyn accent.
Lastly, I'd have to say Lisa Garland. Her transformation was one of the first real tragedies in gaming I saw as a kid, and it was extremely sad. She was the one character who everyone wanted to protect, but ended up being a lost cause from the beginning.
