Male voice? Steve Downes, the voice of Master Chief. part of it is because I live in the vicinity of the radio station he works at so on the occasion I actually feel like listening to some talk radio I just find it quite lovely and somewhat hilarious to hear that voice talking about classic rock and other stuff that's not about fighting The Covenant.

Female voice? Claudia Black, because Claudia Black.

Johnny Yong Bosch. Why? Cause I can't stop falling in love with his work voicing Lelouche from Code Geass. Seriously, that voice... I just love to hear Lelouche speak

Harry Nilsson

He not only had a 4.5-octave vocal range (before John Lennon shredded Harry's voice) but he'd sometimes 16-track his vocals. In the late '60s, this was virtually unheard of. More than one music critic at the time chastised him for not crediting his fine backup singers. They had no clue that there were no backing singers, just Harry himself.

Stephen fry has the best voice in my opinion. It's just so damned soothing. Every word that come out of his mouth is like honey for the ears. Behold!

This video is pure ecstasy and bliss to me for so many reasons.

My guess is on that one.

As for my picks, I'm just going to second Warner as one of my favorites. And also add Christopher Lee, Jennifer Hale, Grey DeLisle, Tarja Turunen, Morgan Freeman and Stephen Fry.
I did not realise my pick of David Warner was going to be reciprocated by so many people! Apparently I'm painfully mainstream in my choice of favourite voice. Extreme loss of hipster points!

I don't think the beginning of Little Big Planet would've been anywhere near the same without Stephen Fry. You were actually happy to do a tutorial because of it!

Roger Craig Smith is my absolute favorite voice actor. He has incredible range and such a pleasing tone to all of his voices. His Batman, his Sonic and his role as Chris Redfield are my favorites. Plus, Thomas from Regular Show. Can't forget about the intern!

The five Teen Titans also get my vote for awesome voices. Special mention goes to Tara Strong (of course) and Khary Payton.

Troy Baker is another guy I admire. Incredible vocal range; I still can't believe he voiced both Superman in Infinite Crisis and Joel from the Last of Us.

I'm also very fond of Grey DeLisle, Greg Eagles, anybody who worked on Metal Gear Solid (Pat Zimmerman, David Hayter, Quinton Flynn, the like) Brian Bloom, Steve Blum, Danny Sexbang (dat singing), Laura Bailey, and Travis Willingham.

In the male category: Tim Curry in full on Doviculus mode. Honey for the ears.

I've been enjoying the dulcet tones of Patrick Warburton recently. He is just so funny in "The Tick".

Man oh man, oh so many.

If I had to pick a single one, I think I'd have to choose Patrick Stewart. I grew up with TNG, and Captain Picard's smooth authoritative baritone is a large part of the soundtrack of my youth.

But there are so many others. Tony Jay had just about the best villain voice any human has ever been blessed with. Christopher Lee as well is a close second. And of course, good ol' J.E.J will never be forgotten as one of the greatest villains in cinema history. Also Mufasa.

David Warner is also just great, always. The scenes between him and Patrick Stewart on that episode of TNG are just marvelous.

Simon Templeman's voice is just godly. He is perhaps the best reason to play the Soul Reaver games, and that's saying a lot.

Crispin Freeman has a great voice. Steve Blum is everywhere but I never tire of hearing his tones. And who doesn't love Patrick Warburton's dumb-guy stereotype?

Among women, Claudia Black's voice is just plain sex. Everywhere she shows up, I am thrilled to be watching/playing it. Jennifer Hale is terrific. She has range, but she's especially good for the no-nonsense "tough chick" types. Grey Delisle is really good too. And of course the incomparable Tara Strong.

You know who else has a good voice? Adam West. His bits on Family Guy are some of the only parts of that show I really like. I also like Rene Auberjonois' voice. It's not traditionally pleasant, but it is really distinct and cool.

Keith David's voice is great, especially in Mass Effect. Morgan Freeman's an obvious one. David Hayter's Snake voice is, well, interesting. Troy Baker is a bit over-exposed lately, but his voice is very good for an everyman-type, and he's a great actor.

Man, the list could continue for the rest of the day. I know I left off many splendid voices, but I must end this post here before it gets out of hand.

I never said I was a nice Duck.

But I don't think many people have stuck to the rules, so you will not be singled out for your actions.

Just know this: I am disappoint.

Robert Clotworthy. Fine fellow who's the voice of Jim Raynor.

He's done tons of other stuff, but it's all pretty much irrelevant to me, cause he's the voice of *Jim Raynor*. Nuff said.

Loving all these suggestions so far, particularly David Warner and Patrick Stewart. The only thing better is... David Warner AND Patrick Stewart: :D

As far as female voice actors are concerned, I'm also a Claudia Black fan and agree wholeheartedly with the choice of Grey Delisle. In case people don't recognise the name, she has played more roles than I could possibly mention, but people may recognise her best as Catwoman (Batman: Arkham City), Velanna (Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening) and Viconia (Baldurs Gate series):
